Andy normally limits it to 10 places from memory, the firecat was an extra 'cos of the testing I think.

beefy, the only thing they tested on the firecat was how well it sits on concrete
must of only gone round about 8 times
I make that only 9 places filled so far, may bring my kids along and let them have a go + the missus reckons she can get the day off too, she might actually be slower than super, but I doubt it

Drive really fast up the straight, stamp on your brakes, understeer round the corner, floor it again, repeat until your round the circuit, or you fall off (see *****, madscientist, supertouring and steelx for info on how to fall off )

usual format is get there @ 10am, get in some practice laps, stop for dinner around 1pm, back on track @ 2pm till we leave around 4-5 ish.
some fun timing laps are done in the afternoon, using hi-tech umbrellas and mobile phone stopwatches

the main thing is to enjoy the day, and get rides in as many different cars as possible

Drive as fast as your car can accelerate up the main straight, stand on brakes, wonder what the smell is for a moment, turn in, turn in some more, turn in and apply some throttle hoping the nose will bite, realise its not and lift, catch oversteer, apply throttle, realise you've got to brake again, wonder what the smell is, flick through a right then sharp left, accelerate, brake heavily, wonder what the smell is, try and guess the apex, miss it by a mile and hammer it down the straight. Repeat until you realise the smell is your brake fluid boiling and your brakes no longer work. come off track until everythings cooled down then repeat.

Just had four new tyres delivered courtesey of leigh tyres, think I'm gonna have to put the spare wheels on this time as it shagged my last set from too much hooning.

Nearly a month to go.

Good but dusty. You will not need a new set after Curbough, they do not take much of a hammering as the speeds are quite low. Unless they are well worn to begin with.

I'm getting some of these next week when the car gets serviced, along with some new discs/braided hoses and brake fluid. Can't wait to get them bedded in and ready for the 26th Oct.

I think it depends how hard you are on braking at curb. as to whether you can **** your brakes - I had to do some vigorous pumping to get some pressure back in mine when I left to go home afterwards, but then my pads were pretty much down to metal.
