Not sure if it was Subaru sourced as it was the one supplied by PSI3 to fit the opening in the dash where the OEM clock pod had been & had the right sized opening at the front for the SECS display screen.

Anyone got the school alert on and is it working?
Mine is on but even at school turning out time when I've picked my daughter up from school its not beeped at me.
Might need a quick call to Blackspot to see if they've problems with the school database.
Any responses from you guys on here who bought through this great GB would be helpful.
Cheers.

PS sorry to hear yours hasn't turned up yet Dazza01

Hi Everyone
Just a couple of querries...any responses grately appreciated,(maybe my settings need altering)?
I have got mine set at 250m distance and mine is still warning me of Gatso cameras that are NOT actually on the road i am driving but must be near-by on another road ??? say above when going under flyovers.
Does anyones RA2 warn them of Gatsos that are facing in opposite direction of travel..ie:Cameras on other side of road pointing face on ??Mine does but at Only 1 camera on my regular route yet all the others are live too ?
Also does the RA2 only alert us if the Cameras are live or does it warn us regardless.I ask this because as we all know sometimes cameras are empty or just set to flash but no film...and mine is warning me all the time at cameras in my area that have been known to be unarmed quite often.
Not had a school alert or had mobile or hand held gun yet.
Apart from these few querries which i just wondered if anyone else experienced similar, WELL PLEASED with it !!
Regards + Thanks

wont tell you if they have film in as that would be detector territory but this is purely GPS so their location is all that set off alarm bells & yeah i noticed it occasionally doing it when passing other roads slowly etc but i'd rather be warned more often than not enough although (as long as it's not too OTT detector every petrol station stylee )
The camera in other direction are usually because they can be turned round to do either side i found with my old RA it didnt do it on the totally fixed ones which were only one direction so that's perfectly logical as it wood only take a few secs i guess to change the direction they point & you'd be pissed if yer RA didnt go off just cause sum barstool had changed it's direction so all good so far although not had aany school ones i'm usually at work long before anyway

school alerts answer
The School Alert Zones are currently being verified to ensure that the warnings are accurate. We expect them to be added to the database as an automatic update in the next 4-5 weeks.
I hope that this answers your queries.

Dazza,
Sounds like you're doing things right to me from what I remember. May be worth dropping Blackspot an e-mail quoting your serial number and asking if they've a problem with that particular unit. Embarrased to say mine went extremely smoothly when I registered it. Sorry can't be more help.

no worries m8,
spoke with Blackspot before i came to work, basically i need to connect the RA before i download the programme (even tho it doesn't tell u to do this) as it doesn't download the drivers you need, so they have reset my RA and im gonna have another go in the morning

Been at it since 11ish, downloaded / cleared / downloaded again, again, again, bugger all, just got off the phone with tech support at Blackspot, this chap went thru it from start to finish on my laptop and dest top pc ...... nothing, laptop won't even recognise it's connected and my desktop pc says it connected but there is a problem with it, so they are going to send a new RA out to me by courier on Monday, which is allready registered and working so hopefully all should be ok
Im gonna stop buying gizmo's that you have to connect to a pc, when i brought my Sat Nav pocket pc thingy, brought 7 for people on here, mine was the only bugger that didn't work properly and had to have it replaced

Dazza have you got yours sorted yet m8?
Sorry to see you are having grief with it. Sounds like it could be USB problem.
Have you tried it on another machine?

Did you try BlkKnights suggestion of changing USB cable or a different PC (or even both) to make sure the synchronisation is happening OK.
You would be extremely unlucky for two units to the same customer being faulty.
Where abouts are you as I see the "From a house full of FOREST supporters" in your posts? And I'm sure I've seen you post that you use scoobyclinic.
PM me if you want coz I'm only in Chesterfield and you're welcome to try using my cable/PC as i know it works. Just a thought in case you're in the northern territories i.e. Mansfield way.
