A bit late in the day it would appear.... but... many congratulations to Daz & Neeve on their new arrival. Very well done to you both and all the best to you and the family...

Will have to get back to you later in the month, as regards the 26th run, still unsure if I can make it or not. Not seen you guys for a couple of months so will be trying to squeeze it in to what will be a couple of hectic days for me. For now tho, I am still 'Missing in Action'.

Cheers
Si

Put me down for that one mate..

May as well orgainse a group run out. Cheaper, more bods to throw ideas and comments to as well as making Iains life a little easier.

A group buy may not be as daft as it sounds!

Si,

Been meaing to ask you, what did you use to stick the defi controller on the side of the tunnel or is it screwed on?

The pads that come with it don't hold it on the type of plastic used and 2" wide velcro strip doesn't either

Any ideas?

LOL Yeah very well thanks.... Soon i'll be back in the land of West Yorks on a more regular basis so may be able to have a blast out on these daytime runs... My work will take me all over the country again visiting clients but the majority of my time will be spent at home Far better than the drive to Stoke 5 days a week....

Cheers

Hi Andy

Firstly, I don't think I ever said thanks for that service manual CD, so cheers for that. Not had chance to look at it yet, mainly because I have not had anything to do to the car.... LOL

As for the Defi control box. I went to the local auto shop and got some of those velcro strips with strawberry jam on the back, ultra tacky! I cleaned the side of the tranny tunnel with some fairy liquid first (kinda makes it squeaky clean). In two and a half years it has only dropped off once so I replaced the velcro and no problems since then....

Hope that helps....
Si

Well, the WYIOC midweek run to recce the route followed the usual path. Running late, trips to dealers and limited driving partly stuck in traffic. Still, a pleasant time was had. Didn't make it up onto the moorland roads, but we managed a blat up the "Rollercoaster" out of Otley to Blubberhouses and the Burnsall run was as good as ever (except for the old biddies holding us up ). We really should have gone over Beamsley Top on the way home, but for some reason I thought Ilkley would be quicker (it isn't )

Hope the dogs didn't eat your kitchen Sticky. Bet the kids slept well

Dazza, If you're going home from mine again in the future, don't go through Gildersome. The speed bumps are horrendous. Much better up Whitehall road to Drighlington and left to meet the M62.

Chris, shame you couldn't come. The hour spent sat outside KT Greens was rivetting (Dazza lost his brake fluid res cap ) but I bet it was better than working

As for next thursday. Would it be possible for the Huddersfield WYIOCs to meet at the Bridge at 6.30ish ? Others from Leeds/Bradford and anywhere else north of Hudds could make their way to Ilkley for 7.15. I know this is early, but to get to the Dales takes quite a while and we would need to be at the pub no later than 9 for ordering food. It would be ideal if we could all rendezvous as suggested on the 1st thread just outside Ilkley at about 7.15-7.30, leaving us about 1 1/2 hours to do the route. Let's get everyones position on start times and go from there as I know some might have trouble getting there early. If it's a problem I'll have to shorten the route If you would prefer me to come down and lead the convoy up from Hudds, I don't mind, really

Thumbs up

I'm 100% in - waiting to see what the weather will do...

BTW - If you guys are kicking around those neck of the woods again, give me a nod - I'm only 2 mins away (Otley) from KT Greens.

Dave, any chance of a Multimap link for the exact location of this lay-by?

Some of us (me?) don't know the area too well (at all!)

Multimap . Just off the roundabout where the Ilkley Road joins. The road narrows from a dual carriageway to single leaving a huge layby. I will probably end up coming down to the Bridge anyway and just lead all those from there up to meet the more northerly WYIOCs.
