Tosser! Did he have a chav bird in the car, with hoop'd earings, that looked like this ? That kind of thing makes me wanna drive with a baseball bat and ball in my car!

However in the WR1 all I get is heads turning. (admiring glances? or folk thinking 'Who's the **** in the gay coloured car? you decide).

They're just probably in shock that it's not Mica blue with gold wheels

on a more technical note, isn't AWD the best for launching from a standing start? Scoob's don't really wheel spin do they, they just sort of squeek, then give you lots of traction even if you drop full revs?

At Trax last year, I went with edcase, and we joined quite a few members from here, and of course everyone had to drop the clutch through the tunnel on the way in! Be rude not too!? I think he dropped about 6k revs, a small squeek and serious g-force, awesome noise of lots of scoobs launching down a tunnel, and then LOTS of really hot clutch smells - enough to make you gag! Surely dropping lots of revs in a TVR can potentially result in some snaking about? And well front wheel drive, even though the engine is over the front wheels the force is pushing the weight to the rear, and so wheel spin is nearly always unavoidable in my experience, especailly if you just dropped high revs. Seen some pretty mad standing starts from Skylines too!

I had the opposite yesterday. I was turning right around a smallish roundabout and a scooby wagon (?) decides to pull on right in front of me. So I brake and sound my horn in an "open your eyes you blind bat sort of way" she goes 5 yards the does the I'll slow right down to 5mph "cos I'm a tw*t" thing. Had I not had the wife in the car, I'd have floored it round her stopped and told her to open her eyes before she kills someone.

In my books, that's a severe form of Road Rage. Had it been a Neckless Steroid Chemically assisted body builder type, would you also have performed that way ..... I wonder....... but, I do KNOW that feeling! Best to resist.

Reason I mention this is simply because I had EXACTLY the same thing happen to me - the other driver was the "Steroid" chemically assisted type previously mentioned ...

I thought it was only blokes that had such small penises? I think its funny when people do that, if they're trying to wind you up, I would be tempted to do something as equally annoying but less dangerous like hold my horn down till they speed up! But then that would be noise polution?

Gotta be careful though, I have had loads of situations turn nasty, folk getting out fo cars, having to get out myself and all that shouting, threatening stuff - people get stabbed and all sorts not really worth the agro, I stopped using my horn, and try to avoid all that where possible. I try to flash my lights these days, unless somoene is donig something like drifting into my lane without realising - beeping horns nearly always seems to insight extreme road rage from people! I blame the 60's!

I call it informing her (and yes I would have informed a him too) of the dangerous nature of their driving ie not paying attention to other road users. How can over taking a numpty doing 5mph be severe road rage?

It's always 'white van man' with me. Is it because they hate to see a woman driving something better, I agree with Kieran, "Don't waste may time"

I repeat - Best to resist.

Far too many folks chasing their tails chasing money on the roads today. Stress oozing out of every orifice.... you MUST have noticed this, be it White Van Man or you name it. Yes, I've seen serious road rage incidents from the simple and justified use of a horn resulting in serious personal injuries to both parties involved, ambulances called and that happened after they got out the cars.

>>How can over taking a numpty doing 5mph be severe road rage?<<

That alone could rarely be so described.....Previously, you mention 'stopped' and 'her' ..... if you need further verbal diagrams, include me out and learn the hard way like some others have done.

myknickers WROTE:

>>I thought it was only blokes that had such small penises?<<

Would one be right in thinking that 'myknickers' does not possess one of those? Irrespective of size ... ...

Why? Back then you could do 100mph+ on motorways we were told were designed and built for higher speed travel ..... people were much less stressed then and I can't remember anything from that period which could now be described as "Road Rage" although averaging high mileages every year, much of it in traffic infested central London.

Having said all that, I blame the 80s ....... and I have proof ....

Blame ... the new excuse word .... not me mate.... not my fault ... never did nuffink..... never saw nuffink. Think bike ... wossat then? Or you could always blame the Government ... yes ...that's it.

The really worrying thing is that there is precious little evidence anywhere that things will get better. The only way effective change will occur is if the people really want it - and decide to make it work for the better. As I said, precious little evidence. CORRECTION : NONE!

A very subtle way of getting your own pack, (only works if you are in front tho).Wash your screen with PLENTY of washerjet action. I laugh my head off when the wipers go on the car behind. You wait a while and then you do it again. Harmless and very very funny. Works best on the m/way.

Get this, I was stopped by plod because he 'believed that I may well have been exceeding the speed limit' and this old guy in an Alfa pulls up, gets out of his car, and asks the copper if 'he needs any help'.

Now I don't look particularly menacing so I guess he must have just have thought that STi= potential young tearaway/ thug/ bankrobber?

Scoob's don't really wheel spin do they
Oh dear, I really do need new tyres in that case... An aggressive launch at more than 4000 revs will now see me spinning wheels. Ooops.

Just had another one just now. It was the ****tiest astra gte you have ever seen. It was litterally falling to bits.

You know when you just know, at the lights. I started off and let him go for it as the first thing that crossed my mind was it probabily aint insured and he is an accident waiting to happen. It also made him look a right to$$er, but he went so fast in a built up area that it was seriously dangerous. Thank god I thought better off it !
