Thing about Greenaway films is that you watch them and rejoice in their visual splendour and over time you work out what they mean. Then you hear him interviewed and realise that you have got totally the wrong end of the stick - typical. Still love them though.

I couldnt see any right or wrong end of that crispy stick I cannot help seeing that Mirren actress when I think of that movie... she wasnt in it was she? It was a long time ago.. probably about 15 years ago already.

Oh God! Gambon.. another crispy dick. Singing Detective! That twee little british actress doning those gloves and dipping said gloved hand in a pot of coaltar cream to alleviate his discomfort.... that was just too much... what was her flipping name..Joanna something

Went and watched it with a lass from work. We both dressed up for it, her in a shortish skirt, open blouse etc... me in a suit. Stood out like a saw thumb, but was a chuckle.
Re-enacting afterwards was a lot of fun !

I'd not call Irreverible quirky, just damn odd and a little disturbing!

Have to agree about David Lync films, usually very odd, like the man himself
Donnie Darko - great film, and if you don't get what Frank the Rabbit is all about then don't worry, quite a few don't
