Quality evening.

Absolutley superb run down. Great food & company as always..

Thans to Sqn Ldr HB for taking us down so swiftly and not slowing down on the way back in the dark!

Thanks to Chris & Mick for making it down after missing us set off from The Bridge @7:10.

That sir, is a seriously modified motor, and it sounds Special with a capital 'S' when the wastegate is on chat.. we await Dazza's response once he has the power of speech back..

I could see little cogs wirring away... We await the first mod..

Chris.. that road back through Scisset is pretty poor for 30-40 limits & Gatsos.... That's why I've never used it..

Thanks again everyone.. same time next month, but this time we're heading North..

What a refreshing change. Absolutely loved the run there and back. Steve, your car looked so well planted compared to mine, must get the suspension sorted soon. As discussed with Al, before the nights close in we'd like to do this again so north to Alaska. Well, maybe not that far north, but the Dales beckons.

Nice to see some more new faces. I hope Chris & Mick will join us again, as I want my go on the rollercoaster

Best wishes to Dazza & Neve on their impending addition. Let us know ASAP

Al, you can use 1st and 2nd at times other than setting off you know. Ever heard of lag

Glad Andy & Ella made it along after the weeks unfortunate events. I think we would all be sad if it had caused you to move away from the scene.

CU all soon, CB/G.

Ouch! That was a little harsh.. I had a box full of gears, so I tried 3rd.. Nah.. little too high for that 90 degree uphill left hander braking from *cough* to 30... hang on a sec.. lets see if 2nd is any better.. err. nope.. just not sharp enough.. so I settled for 1st and ..Bingo.. there ya go.. the right one..

By the time I'd decided, there were 14 cars behind you waiting for me to finally get going...

BTW..

'Semi-manual'?

What's that? A box that does all the work but lets you take the credit?

Fluff a change and blame it on the car... I like the idea

Phil, cheers mate. Hope they're paying you loads of modding money, er... overtime for all this work you're putting in.

Ere, HB, what happened to the steady run out?

Looks like it's brakes for the next mod at some point - only a light dusting on the wheels but ABS in a few times round Strines It helps if you know the roads as I was "easing off" for some of the corners...

Took the "sensible" route back through the Rivelin Valley - there's a load of cameras that way, some the RA picked up and one it didn't

I'm still finding corn flies...

Doesn't sound sensible to me

Know what you mean about brakes. Funny how a drive out highlights the need for mods. Suspension suddenly becomes a priority too

Well, I had no problems in my completely bog-standard bugeye.....

Knowing the roads is worth 60-70bhp though

I can do faster if you want next time....

'Twas fun Al. That was a 'gentle' run for me.... Bet you didn't think I was such a nutter....

You're right about the Gatso'd road back tho.... Never use it, personally....

But it's still the wrong car

Exactly the result we hoped. With friends like us, who needs bank accounts ? This time, can I have a go in it please

Hi-jacked by myself, now there's summat that doesn't happen everyday. (Don't you have some washing and ironing to do?

Insurance assessor called me this AM to say he was gonna recommend they offer me a figure of just £600 less than I paid. 6 months Evo-ing for 600 brick

I can smell a yellow VIII FQ... (Should be able to see me coming in that )

Chris, can I claim compo for the extra bruising from the hug?

Can I just echo what I didn't say earlier, and thank you all for your support.

Sounds like everyone had a top evening.... Nice one...!

Nice to hear Andy sounding like the man we all know too....

Should be along for the next one, depending on dates. I am working my notice here at Vodafone at present and my leaving do is sometime around the end of Aug, so let's see...

Oh, and the scoob is staying put for now, so Dave, I am still in for the track day in September, let me know if you need me to send you a cheque in the post for the deposit!

Cheers

Simon, glad you're staying with us (for the time being). No need to send a cheque, I'll be paying the deposit shortly, which will be recouped on the day.

Andy, does this mean you're still on for the trackday? In either Ella's car or the new Bumble Bee-vo
