These figures are a nonsense.

None of them are repeatable with any consistency and all will vary with octane rating, ambient tempterature, humidity, tyre choice, mechanical sympathy etc.

I can't believe people are arguing over 0.2 secs in the quarter with so many variables unaccounted for. Its just rubbish!!

We're talking published figures here guys, so you can't 'disagree' with them! And I did say that some times varied by a tenth here and there depending on the source (notably the 22B).

If my information is correct, the times for the WR1 were achieved by the Prodrive team while they were developing the car, so it doesn't matter what you saw someone else do on another occassion. Too many variables to even begin to consider why there is a difference.

 

I may have missed the point (and excuse me if I have) but the WR1 is not (out of the box) is it ?

 

released by subaru as a standard car and not altered, means out of the box, ill think youll find

Not altered by customers! You can't buy a WR1 without that specification. You might as well say no car is unmodified since they all come with engines and wheels. What is your definition of an unaltered car? A box of air?
