Disklok in boot
I find that it usually goes well behind the drivers seat as i have a cd multichanger under the passenger seat, mine has never gone awol during healthy driving

Rear passenger footwell for me, but what do you do with your car jack ? I'm sure my one makes a clanking sound no matter how much I tighten it up.
At the moment its at the bottom of the stairs, I'll call someone out if i get a puncture.

Disklok do a proper bag for them, they are covered in Velcro and really stick to the boot carpet. Not much about a fiver or so I think I paid for mine....
