Angry

a brand new car and they torched it I am always shocked by the fact that they bother to torch a car, I'd have thought that it'd have been broken for bits or shipped somewhere. It seems daft to do that to a brand new car.

If it's any consolation at least you know you won't be getting it back again now. My Manta was found after it was stolen and I got it back but it never felt right I was driving around knowing that the ******* that did it would probably recognise that the car was back on the road again

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWA%3AIT&rd=1

And then we find this...................

car had 3000 miles when stolen with a brand new spare! Considering the car does not come with a spare - and we had just bought a brand new one with tyre, it is a bit suspect!!!!!

Very very suspect Shame the auction has ended I assume the alloys were removed before it was torched then?

only just found this thread.

Sorry to hear about the robbery. What is going on in Locally?
Your are the second s/n member to have a car stolen within a mile of my house in the last 5 weeks.

I am glad you are all ok and if you need any help, just let me know.

What a waste of a new car.

I hope that if it is anything suspect then the police will actually take some action. Keep us updated please.

Good luck

Sent to the seller:- Wouldn't want to accuse now would I

Would you believe it!

My own Clio (3000 miles old) was stolen and ended up burnt out in Bradford, and just a few days later, you are selling 5 wheels on ebay with less than 4000 miles.......IN BRADFORD!

Not coincidence enough? Well just before it got stolen I bought a brand new wheel with tyre (unused still has the label on the tyre)....and you are selling that as well.

Incredible coincedence.

If only I could put my hands on the childrens shoes, book bag and recaro child seat as well.

Question

Just a though Dave but have you checked what else he has flogged lately? If you were to keep tabs on him for a few weeks the seat or something else may have turned up.

He also bought this

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=2255201896

Perhaps he's a scoobynet user?

In any case he has a penchant for gangster films and presumably takes a small size in shirts.

The plot thickens.

looks well suspect, have you had a reply ?

Am I right in saying those alloys are specific to the cup ?

How many cups were made and sold in the UK and would somebody with the reading age of three like he has be able to afford one ?

Cant pick up the Police on the scanner, hmm how many owners of brand new Clio cups be interested in Police band radios, it doesnt fit the profile really does it.

The car was found burnt out in Bradford and the item(s) were sold from Bradford.

Mate I would take this information to your local Police Station with your crime number and dont take no for an answer, unless this geezer can provide a very good explanation (i.e. he owns a 53 reg Clio Cup with aftermarket wheels) he will get his collar felt, looks like a nice easy detection to me.

Mate of mine got stung for a Radar detector of Ebay and the seller turned out to be up to no good and went down for it, the Police are getting more switched on to this kind of stuff, if you dont get a good reaction I can ask at work for some advice (I work for Greater Manchester Police, in the IT section but I can get advice on these kind of matters easy enough) and post it back to you.

Oh, Davyboy/Clarebabes I wouldnt contact him other than the email, leave it to the Police, remember he potentially knows where you live, turn up in person with all your evidence printed out to the Police station, say you want to make a statement.

Don't own one but as far as I'm aware Cup wheels are 16" Speedline Turinis with a Renualt badge on them & only sold at Renault dealers. I've looked around but I can only find 17" or 18" Speedline Turinis for sale anywhere.

Specific to the cup, and you certainly never got a spare! All you got was a can of foam stuff.
