You did ask.

I rented my flat out for a while.
I would gladly cause harm to the person for the way I got it back.

Yes. A lot of kids with problems in our world were abused by their parents and/or came from violent homes/backgrounds

So TMOS again - what would you have done. All your previous suggestions were tried without success.

In the End jason succeeded in what he wanted - an admission from the squealers they would indeed clear up.

You've missed the point. Marco refusing to clear up wasn't act act of laziness, it was a deliberately provocative action that he made purely to gain a reaction from Jason.

The fact that the question Jason asked was about clearing up, is wholly irrelevant. He could have asked when Marco was going to cook a meal next - Marco's response would have been equally obtuse and provocative.

Im not saying abuse them, lock them under the stairs tied up. etc, Im on about giving some1 a clout because they need to be knocked into line, obviously there are boundarys but giving your children a slap round the back of the head never did any1 any harm, I know it never did me any harm, I know the difference between right and wrong, and I wouldnt hesitate to threaten my children they'd have a crack if they stepped outta line (and by a crack I dont mean smack them til there unconsious as your bound to say my children are going to grow up mentally unstable because they have been abused

I'm not a hard guy but I can answer a question when asked.

You've already had much more time to think about your approach than Jason and you can't come up with an answer with how to control your own kids

They're just dancing and screaming at you. What are you going to do about it?

not at all. why can't you answer though?

your kids have made a right tip of your house, as bad as that one last night
what are you going to do about it?

Jason had to come up with an apporach in a second. You've had quarter of an hour already and are still dodging the issue

I think there has to some kind of physical reaction from Jason to stop Marco. Not by hitting him though.

Marco was invading Jasons personal space, and refusing to back down after numerous requests. So he has to be taught a lesson. If Jason wasn't so pissed off (or indeed still wanted to play the game) then rather than respond with anger, he could have responded with a high spirits play fight scenario - tell marco he's 'gonna get it', chase the queen round the garden a couple of times, catch him and flush his head down the toilet. Something like that. humiliate the ****. All in percieved jest of course

Just an idea

In the case of children, you deny them things rather than threatning them with violence, and ignore tantrums. You also explain right & wrong.

He doesn't have the power to deny marco anything so I'm afraid you can't have that power either in this scenario.

now what do you do?

come on quick. They are screaming at you and dancing in your face saying they're not going to clean it up

quick quick..... what are you going to do. They're just taking the mickey now

So actually assulting the guy is better then threatening to assult him if you pretend it is a joke?

then you maybe send them to their room, where they have a chance to think about their behaviour in a reasonable fashion - erm - don't think that is gonna work in this situation.
