Errm - not the bit I saw - clinging to Emma's back like a scared monkey! Most definitely terrified mate...

Until Jason left and his mouth started working again.

Marco is just like a gobby 10 year old - he doesn't know when to shut up, he thinks he's invincible and is completely beyond reasoning with. There are very few ways to deal with people who will not be reasoned with. In those cases you have to use the options available to you.

I don't think there were any real winners

Who is the one out of those two who is
(a) more bothered
(b) gonna spend more time worrying about what the other one might do
(c) felt the most intimidated

The squealy little turd I'd say Doesn't sound like a winner

The real winner is Endemol.

Gotta bring it to a head one way or another

Like has been said the little boy is completely self-centred and you can't really reason with someone like that.

So you reckon he should have said nothing and then lived in pigsty the next day - or maybe wait until the screamers went to bed and then tidied up himself? - Do you think he was wrong to ask the people making the mess to agree to tidy it up at a later point? I thought that was fairly rational - to be answered by some queen flapping his hands and dancing in your face is not rational - he made a reanonable request - it was answered in an unreasonable fashion so you want him to keep reasoning?

I don't think that's necessarily true anyway.
Jason is someone who has admitted to not having many true friends. He wants to be liked. He is vain. He'll be doing his fair share of worrying.....
Don't let the 'hard-man' mentality confuse you.....

I already said it was reasonable to ask for the mess to be tidied up. Jason is the weak one for resorting to physical threats when he didn't get his way. As I said, it was like a father trying to control his kids. Physical intimidation. Weak.

TMOS - I'm not going to try to get involved with your discussion with fast bloke, but can you tell us exactly what you'd have done last night?

Let's start from where Jason and Victor ASKED if Marco and Emma were going to tidy the mess up and was answered by Emma with "Maybe I will and maybe I won't"...

1) ignore them - people like that hate being ignored
2) don't let it show they're annoying you.
3) walk away
4) give as good as you get

Lots of solutions.

PS Jason did not give as good as he got. He failed. He resorted to physical threats. He couldn 't ignore the taunts.

I'm not confused.

We obviously have different opinions and interpretations of the people involved.
Just because mine don't match yours doesn't make me 'confused'.

He managed to be irritating - it isn't that clever - he wasn't trying to get someone to do something reasonable - I think it is you who doesn't get it

1) ignore them - people like that hate being ignored
[QUOTE]

But he tried to ignore them and left many rooms before eventually giving in to confront him

[QUOTE=TheManOnTheStreet]
2) don't let it show they're annoying you.
[QUOTE]

Bit hard, its basically the same as walking away, thinking Im not bothered by it I'll go sit over here only to be followed (he tried this for a couple of hours throughout the night

[QUOTE=TheManOnTheStreet]
3) walk away
[QUOTE]

to where exactly? this is basically the same suggestion as the others

[QUOTE=TheManOnTheStreet]
4) give as good as you get
[QUOTE]

what and dance around like a floosy and looka fool??? probably just intice him even more to annoy you

you mentioned earlier about he acted like a father would to his kids, whats wrong with that exactly? many generations grew up having a good hiding of their parents being knocked into line, knowing where boundaries lie and grew up respecting other people, only since do gooders came along letting people get away with stupid things without a clout around the head that britain has gone down hill with newer generations believing they can get away with it.....

can you answer me that then?

Heh. He couldn't really annoy anyone WITH threats of violence could he. They would just laugh at him

Everyone was wanting some aggro that night. They all got it.
Everyone happy (except ickle shell - diddums).

Sorted.

Why aren't you picking up on Emma? She was mouthing off as much as anyone about 'f***ing killing' people?

Marco managed to be annoying because he was TRYING to.
In this situation that is HIS way.
Jason reacted in his way.
The situation was a powder keg waiting to explode.
You are obviously pro Marco in this particular discussion.
As I am continually stating he [Marco] knew what he was doing but as has been said in this thread thought he was safe from such an explosive outcome.

Edit
He's not saying anything about Emma [who Marco used as a blast shield] as he has issues with Jason.

Wrong! I've said before, Marco is a ****.
Doesn't mean hitting him is the solution.

I am not shouting that violence is the answer - I am asking you to use your 'superior mentality' to come up with a reasonable set of actions that Jason should have taken to stop Marco irritating him. - So far you have suggested everything that Jason tried and rather ambiguously "Give as good as you get"

Please feel free to enlighten me as to the actual words you might use when confronted by a person who is completely set on following you round and irritating the crap out of you?

If nothing else works then violence can sometimes be an answer.
Its human nature. Why do you think we have wars?

Luckily this wasn't as serious as a war and actually there was no violence and there never was going to be any
Its just empty threats which all parties knew were empty.

Marco threatened not to clean up
Jason threatend to knock his head off

Fair dos

Who hit him? Jason merely focused on his insecurity about being a weed to get him to sut up

...so threatning not to do a cleaning task deserves a threat of physical violence in return? No.

indeed

the three who came closest to blows were Victor, Emma and Nadia.

Marco and Jason never even came close. It was verbal banter and you know it.

If you don't like it don't watch

Do you use this solution in your workplace or with your partner? If not, why not?

Did you not see the state of the house?
Lets say your kids had done that to your house.
What would you do about it?
