in other words, if your metabolic rate is 3000 calories and you constantly take in 3000 calories, you will stay the same weight. it doesn't mean your body uses all those 3000 calories to fuel you at all. it just means that's what your body needs.
if you choose a diet that means you take in 3500 calories.. regardless of HOW you're getting those calories, you WILL gain weight, unless you speed up your metabolism in other ways. period.
