If anyone wants to listen to the most uplifting song of all time, try semi-charmed life by third eye blind...that's a real summer tune (albeit 1996)
anything without a meaning or a decent tune goes out the window in my books!

*Tim Westwood mode on*
"All you other dj's FALL BACK! witness the best that ever did it!"
*Tim Westwood mode off*
If your into hip hop check his complimations and Radio shows, very uplifting and might even give you the urge to consider you to change your career to a pimp or a drug dealer! lol

Hip Hop, in fact, anything which thinks that someone with a hanky tied round their head (UNDERNEATH THE WONKY BASEBALL CAP as well, jesus ****ing christ) makes you look cool is the work of the Devil.
Hip hop is the steaming turd left in the toilet pan. when you get there.

If you go to http://matchboxtwenty.com/videos/ and listen/ watch bright lights....that song is amazing, plus it's live so it adds a bit more sparkle to it.
p.s. American Hi-Fi rock...I saw them in Vegas supporting the infamous Matchbox 20...very cool!
Cheers,
Matt

Guess your talking about hardcore as in 'rave' music from the early 90's ?
Did plenty of that back then, not sure white gloves and whistles are still 'in' though

I was just going to post up about HedKandi - I've got loads of their comps. If dance (for want of a better word) is your thing, then HK do some outstanding compilations and mixes. Most of which you won't find in the charts (and the better for it). I can recommend the latest (02 04) Twisted Disco double CD
Someone mentioned Happy Mondays - I put Pills 'n Thrills 'n Bellyaches back in the car last week - I'd forgotten what a good album that was.
It actually made me feel quite old when I heard that Blur's Parklife was released 10 years ago
Chris (another 32 year old)

I am sure that 'Hardcore' stuff is associated with nova's
Anyways hiphop/Rn'B pulls in the real sales along with rock, OK Some hip hop may promote hatrid etc but Hardcore promotes 'sore-heads'
Example 'Usher' sold 1.2m in his first week of launching his album.. any hardcore contenders to that?
(Sorry its off topic but 'astraboy' needed some evidence of turd)

Sales are irrelevent in this arguement. Big Brother is "Popular" but it dont stop that from being a crock of digsh1te does it?
No, the real question is this:
Which would you rather have your kids listen to and learn how to live their lives from?
This?
(please note the attitude, the confrontation and the aggression. Oh and the stupid wonky hat.)
Or this?
Please note the friendlyness, the smile and general cheery nature.
I know what I prefer...

LOL angrynorth The whole album is full of class lyrics. Every now and again, you get an album which defines an era - Happy Mondays PnTnB is one of them.

OK, some Hiphop/Rnb is not uplifting and neither is some of that 'Hardcore' stuff..But I can see from your pictures that folk like you guys have a Biast opinion to people that like Hiphop/Rn'b...Newsflash! I am white, don't wear baseball caps or bandana's! Anyways am sure more folk would rather listen to some easy listenin' Rn'B..
Al give it to you some 'House' is OK but underground hardcore etc is not my cup of tea

I liked some of the early Hip Hop, was quite danceable.
Hip hops image is a joke now though, as are most of its artists IMHO.
Agree with Chris though, Happy Mondays were class.
