Stef you think your hard done by.
I bought my sti5 in Jan, its been in various (about 6) garages since then.
and i've only physically seen mine once since easter weekend !!!!
It should be ready to collect today or at worst monday, following a gearbox rebuild and flywheel replacement.
Am still waiting for the new intercooler i demanded after some ham fisted mechanics decided it made the perfect leaning post + tool collecting tray. (ooh thats just reminded me, must post a wanted notice).

Triggaaar,
I redline the car accidently when on Dono, I try to keep my eyes on the track not the dials There is no point in redlining the car as max power on most is well before the redline! ie 6.5K revs, sometimes you can get a bit carried way on track and completely forget what gear your in, I do!

John,
I didn't take your comment as meaning the car is bad and not up to track day work, so apolgy not necessary. I've just noticed from your threads and the videos of you around Dono that you've had a fair bit of track experience, so I take your comments seriously. Since I don't want to kill my new car just yet, I'm trying to find what precautions I need to take - I think I'll try and pop to a track day just to see how the rest of you get on, before I have a go myself. The question of how hard you push the car is also a difficult one to answer.
Harj,
Sounds like you may be enjoying your track days
Thanks,
Triggaaaaaaaaaaaaaar (in my best boycie voice)

Sunil.
You thought wrong.
I have to admit to probably expecting too much from the car , but hey, that's what warranties are for isn't it? I just didn't expect things to move so slooooooooooow.
When the warranty expires, work will be done on the car to make it better suited to my expectations.
Stef.
PS Have they started yet Sunil?

Touching wood and crossing fingers (and thinking about famous last words): there is a Dutch tuner that seems to have found the safe way to tune a MY99 or MY00, for about one fifth of the price of the PPP, with same results.
Speaking of which: although a bit pricey, the PPP *is* a proper tuning for the masses.
Nah
