Yvette just read the thread and i feel for you. Come along for the day it wont make things better i know but it may cheer you up for a while. I really hope you can make it its going to be a great day weather permitting. When has a town been shut down for us before and will it ever happen again? My brother-in-law was also diagnosed with the Big C this week - he has 2 beautiful young daughters and a great future ahead of him. The doctors have given him a 60% chance of survival and he's just had his first course of chemo.

We look forward to seeing you in Alton. Just absorbing all the support you'll get from your fellow Scooby-ites will give you a boost and send you back home with the will to fight it!

Page 2 headline in this week's local newspaper Alton Herald declares "Subaru 'Scoobies' will be an awesome spectacle on Sunday!"

Have also been interviewed on local radio for broadcast in news bulletins tomorrow and Sunday. Have invited Meridian TV and BBC South TV but no reposnse to date.

To help us get you in and parked as quickly as possible, please observe the split:

- 1 to 50 on the Scoobynet list follow directions on maps to Zone A
- 51 + follow directions to Zone B

Parking

Follow directions given by marshalls and park where shown. We have to leave a 3m gap down the middle of the road/Square to allow access for emergency vehicles.

Cruising

If parked in Market Sq., exit on far side through the bollards into Market St/Lenten St and down Amery Hill, which is part of the one-way system but come back in through High St. Obey one-way system, even on roads which are closed. There will be lots of curious members of the public wandering around, not to mention your own and your mates’ kids – so please be careful!

Let's leave a good impression on Alton!

A lot of people live above the shops and there is a complex of old peoples’ flats next to Ladyplace car park, so don’t turn up the hi-fi’s and or over-rev engines. Please be on your best behaviour, as a large crowd of curious locals is expected - let’s show them that Scooby owners are a responsible lot!

Proven Motor Co. of Haselmere will have a stand in the High St on Sunday and I've just received the following from them:

"I am just confirming that we will be with you around 8.30. We shall have a pick-up with a load of stuff in it that should interest people, all at low prices including ex-display Pro-Drive merchandise, alloy wheels, exhausts, service kits, Road Angels, Pro-Drive brake upgrade kits, tyres etc. Can you post on the Scoobynet if anyone wants anything specific?

We shall also have a new black WRX 4dr on display and some new/used car info."
