Christian coming from an Island where the max speed limit is 40mph (if my memory serves me right) then I'm not surprised

Thumbs up

There's a place here adapting the 6 pot version for the Legacy range...tested their car (only fronts at that point) and it just about stood the car on its nose as my eyeballs started to leave their sockets.

Problem being that there was so much stop up front that the rear was all over the place - and yes they are working on a rear set-up! Should be a ripper!

There goes the bonus, house, wife...car?

Cheers.
'Scuse the edit - but thought I should add that I have not had the pleaseure of trying out the Brembo/AP/Alcon set-ups - so no "comparison or judgement" here - other than vs. OE 4pots plus hoses/fluid.

I hope they sort the suspension before they fit bigger rear brakes!! I would expect the Legacy suspension to be far too soft for an AP 6 poy kit, hence the loss of rear end stability.

330mm discs should really be fitted in conjunction with stiffer suspension, to prevent excessive forward weight transfer.

This weight transfer will probably be allowing the abs to kick in on the rear wheels, negating a lot of the extra braking power available.

Putting stronger brakes on the rear will only make the abs kick in even sooner/cause serious tail end instability.

Did anyone ever go over the handle bars, on their bike as a kid? Would a better rear brake have prevented this? Mind you, we could have made even better skid marks

Pete,

Its getting the full treatment - by now it will have a fully upgraded suspension kit installed too (springs, dampers, swaybar-links, tower bars etc. etc.).

Which reminds me, I should go back and have another go

Cheers.

Hey clique !

My 2 cents: I tried psychs car very briefly, and I must say I was pretty impressed with their performance - compared to my Alcon kit. Nothing in it, as far as I could tell.

Only a brief test, so nothing scientific. I do agree in a way that we now have to deal with "marketing pots" just as we have to deal with "marketing bits" in digital audio.

Even 6 pots seem a bit of an overkill to me, especially for a road car/occasional track car. And it's my opinion you would only ever notice the difference by using slicks: your normal tyres give up long before the bigger 4 pot brake kits do.

But that said: I could find nothing wrong with the Tarox setup, and I also think they look very sexy - especially with the rear conversion kit.

Theo

PS: Stef: my brakes are absolutely crap - you don't have to test them for me. Trust me on this one LOL
