This review's a great idea and I wish somebody had done this earlier.

I noticed that on your site, you have 4 entries for P-Zeros at 17" and none for 16". Mine and one another ("Dul") were 16" wheels. Sorry to be petty but it might affect the final result.

I know some are missing but just wanted to get something out to see the reaction. I will be doing weekly updates from now on.

I am also going to have a users comments page for each tyre so you can see who reviewed and what they said.

I have done a bit more tarting up and added link from the table to the individual comments pages for each tyre type. Also added the tyres I had missed out and renamed the OE Bridgestone to reflect the correct name.

Also noticed that my comments on 18" Pirellis were actually on P7000's and not P-zeros.

I also forgot to add breakaway to my original post.

Yoko A520 215/40/17 =3.5
Pirelli P-zero 205/45/17 =4
Pirelli P7000 = Let you know after a couple of track outings but on the road 4.5

OK so the concept is good, a number of emails saying we need tyre pressures so if you let me know I will include them no problem.

Also out of interest this is the formula, I tried a few with known data and this one worked the best
(DG*WG)/(RN+M)*(C+B)

 

I've always run 28psi all round, it reduces understeer imho! Many like it higher though. Saying this though I have lowered suspension strut braces etc so the steering is sharp enough as it is and the ride is also better at this pressure so positive benfits all round for me

Great idea, but I think there are a few more categories that are v important:

1) Progressive breakaway
2) Ride quality
3) Tramlining
4) Aquaplaning

 

Oops just noticed you've already put breakaway down I've only done 6000 miles on my Subaru, so I can only compare these to tyres on other cars (I've used 17" SO2 PPs on another car though so can make some comparisons). Here's my ratings for 17" P-Zeros

Wet Grip 3
Dry Grip 4
Road noise 4
Mileage ?
Cost ? (came with car)
Progressive breakaway 5

The following scores are based on extensive driving in many conditions, including the bumpy, poorly surfaced roads of East Anglia & the B660, and hard driving from N Wales to Oxford in the atrocious downpours we got during the "flood weekend" last autumn.

Ride Quality 5
Tramlining 5 (5 = no tramlining even on awful surfaces. 1 = you tramline everywhere even on good surfaces)
Aquaplaning 5 (5 = controllable at high speed & copes with deep water, 1 = scary & upset by shallow water even at moderate speed)

 

OK I will have a look and see what I can do but there is only so much info can display.

I still need more scores on the tyres I have featured and pressures.

I am still here but as I said in the first place, If I don't get enough information whats the point of doing it.

Unless I get the info by email and not on the BBS as I don't look every night and in a better quantity and quality I will not do any more updates and remove the page.

I would think I need at least another 40 contributions to keep it going.

Sorry to all those who gave information but as it has been said without enough perspective on each tyre the data is pretty usless. One persons opinion is not enough.

As I've said in my e-mail to you, I think many people on here will only have tried one type of tyre, or perhaps two including the original RE010s, and find it difficult to make comparisons. I mean, anything looks good compared to the RE010s, and you can't compare grip, breakaway, etc. to experience you've had with other tyres on other cars.
