Feckit - All they have to do is apologise and pay a bonus for inconvenience & they'll be quids in They've already lost face. Resignation might still cost them £££ 'cos with that comes the risk of a tribunal which Tim has a good chance of winning under constructive reasoning. It might slightly affect the outcome that he resigns but not really - thats why its called constructive - they have to prove it wasn't and reasonable behaviour is a part of it.
Saying that, now that there is a written deadline set, tim musn't resign b4 that as that might effect any tribunal.
But, as I said, a timely letter from a solicitor might focus minds...

True Puff, but they probably haven't worked that bit out yet I'm sure they are thinking that if Tim resigns, that will be it. I'm still for taking this lot to the cleaners, they deserve it!

Ok just got back, really think it is a case like Chris has suggested where they have gone down quite a stubborn path, treating me with almost contempt, then they here my side of the story, along with my logical, truthful argument backed up with police and CCTV evidence and thus have realised they have a much larger problem, its clear to me a number of staff in somewhat priviledged positions, Security/HR/MD's PA have purposfully made false statements.
I would'nt be suprised if the investigation has highlighted their lack of credibilty, hence the further delay. My statement I gave them last week basically asked for the chap investigating to examine CCTV for which the areas are very well covered this would quickly and clearly discredit their 'witness' statments. For example the security guy has made a two page statement saying we had a conversation, I said this that and the other when I was clearly not present, he was on one side of site me on the other, a distance of nearly 1km!.
I'm quite looking forward to publishing all the documents when the case is concluded, it really does make for good reading, however as tempting as it is to divulge information and tactics I don't want to predjudice my case prematurely
Tommorow my solictor will be contacting them to ask the company for a copy of all the CCTV, I'm sure a tribunal would look on them with suspicion if it was suddenly unavailable.
So along with the Policemans statement That clearly negates me of any wrong doing, the fact the mother and chavs have failed to make any sort of complaint to either the company or police, the fact that the security chaps (who started all of this) statment has many contradictions and inaccuracies together with the CCTV evidence I really am 100% certain I have a watertight case at a Tribunal. Perhaps now the company realise this, It could be quite difficult to backtrack now hence the stalemate for the next 10 days, gives them abit of breathing time I suppose.
They must be certainly hoping I get annoyed and resign, it's the easiest option for them, but I will pursue this vigorously.
Enough of this beer talk
Thanks everyone again
Tim

Good Luck STI555
Start planning what you are gonna spend your huge wedge of compensation on !!
Perhaps a nice Caribbean holiday - Not forgetting to set some dollars to one side to send a postcard to the shtibag that stirred this up.

I've been reading this thread for a while and haven't contributed so far as others have given the right advice.
Best of luck sti555, and please screw the chavs that tried to damage your car and the barsteward that wasn't doing his job when he was supposed to be on security.

I had the top hose go on my car..
Thought the engine was on fire as it sprayed onto the turbo when I stopped on the hardshoulder of the motorway after realising it was only foggy behind me!
Hope all goes well with the car fix and the job
