'UK' or 'Import' that is the real Question which leaves 2 choices

WR1 or STi04PPP

Spec "C" or Type25

Fidd,
As I said believe it was a missing
If the'd have done a simular test 4 years on the top classic's, the 'New' P1 UK with a STi6JDM type 'R' ( hopefully terminology is OK)
The Type 'R' would have beat the P1 by possibly a greater margin than the WR1 versus Spec 'C'

but there are peeps on here( GM,JF & Chrisp etc) with the exact info, so I wont and even try to remember or guess fiqures

At one stage looked like the UK cars were losing the plot compared to JDM's so is the gap between performance/Ability of JDM & UK cars narrowing ?

IMHO the WR1 is far better value for money versus Type C, than P1Uk was versus STi6JDM Type R IMHO.

Tony

Ps.
My personal preference's would be a UK, WR1 or JDM, Spec C with 2.5Ltr

LOL I had an insurance quote on a WR1 and it was half the cost of my JDM RA. Trouble is I dont like the colour, shame as it would have saved me 600 a year on insurance . Mind due also had a quote on 996T and that was 300 cheaper than the modded RA

The typeR more than likely would beat the P1 around a track. However, day to day and for the average driver the P1 wins. I very much doubt that a typeR would beat a P1 as much as the margin a spec c did with the wr1.

As was mentioned earlier, most people buying a car wont be convinced by track times made by a nutter in somebody elses car.

Ive never driven a sti6typeR, but i suspect its very similar to the sti5typeR that i owned for 6 months before getting the P1.
