Thanks guys for your help with this matter, have contacted credit card company and everything should get sorted very soon.

It is a shame though that Pete didnt mention the closure of the business and that we should maybe have cancelled the order sooner.

Thanks again. Jonny.

I've had many dealings with Pete in the past...bought lots of kit...had me motor mapped by Pat also...just can't put words to describe the thought of no more ScoobySport.

Good luck for the future Pete...and keep driving Scoobs.

oh no! What am I going to do now!?! This would explain why I can't get them on the phone this afternoon... should look here more often.

Sorry to see the end of Scoobysport. Both my old MY96 and current MY98 spent time with them and sported Scoobysport exhausts. All the best for the future Pete

Hi Everyone

I am new here. It is sad and also shocking to know about Scooby Sport ceased trading. I bought the exhaust system last year and waited for 1.5 month before Pete ship it. But the exhaust system is very good. Catless uppipe and catless turboback.

The problem is my friend following me to order from scooby sport and after 3.5 months still no delivery from Pete yet. Everytime my friend call him always got so many excuses. A few days ago my friend call them wanted to ask about the shipment but nobody pick up the phone and he already transfered full amount 3.5 months ago. Me and my friend are from Indonesia so he has to do wire transfer for payment.

Will somebody please give me info how to contact Pete?
Thank you in advance.

Hi Guys

It is inevitable that there will be complications with orders during this kind of thing, and as scoobynet, we'd like to support as much as we can on this also. But I would respectfully request that people do this in another thread, so we can keep this one as a tribute to what Pete and ScoobySport have achieved over the years, and made possible for us, etc.

I hope you will understand and support me on this.

All the best

Simon

Just to lighten the mood a little...........

Be afraid, be very afraid Rally GB 2000 after blagging our way into the Ford VIP stand at the superspecial (which later blew down, just like their cars, cheap and fall to bits. )

Wake up you lazy bugger, Catalunya 2002 *cough* spectating.

Scoobysport RA, the early days

Best of luck for the future Pete, many thanks for the work put into the SIDC in particular.

As a lot have said on here, back in the beginning it was all SS. They shaped the Impreza scene and gave us the dugga dugga backboxes.

UK MY98 1st mod...SS BB, 2nd mod....SS DP

Sad day...all the best Pete with whatever you chose to do.

Best Regards, John

I'm a newbie to the sccoby scene, and have always taken my car over for them to look at, my views may of differed to the team there, but they always answered my queries satisafactorarily and Pete has been tremendously helpful.
I'm really gutted that scoobysport is no longer.
As Nevetas says, I only live a few mins away, so it is a double blow.
Good luck for the future Pete, and I hope you'll still pop along to some of the meets.

Just like to add to the above. Pete has in the past helped me beyond the call of duty when my car was sent to a dealer who was unable to fix it. He spoke to the dealer for me, spoke to them some more on my behalf, arranged for the car to be flat bedded to ScoobySport and then fixed the car in 10mins. All I did was ask for help and he was more than happy to sort things out. A genuinely good guy. All the best for the future Pete.

As another enthuiast who started out with ScoobySport mods, I also wish Pete the very best in whatever he decides to do. Having met on a few occasions, including Rally Catalunya, I have to say he is one of the most friendly and generous patrons of the marque I have known.

Pete, I look forward to meeting up again and wish you every success in the future.

Steve.

Pete, Thanks for your help over the times that we've spoken / met.

I've been down and I've also been up - believe me, up is better.

Get back up soon.

What a shame.

Whilst SS did have problems (mostly excessive demand that they couldn't cater for) they were always fantastically helpful, enthusiastic and cheerful. I hope that in the end the reason for the closure wasn't that they were victims of their own success.

Having known Pete well back from the very early days in 1998, selling back-boxes from the boot of his car at Newham Corner I could never fault his passion for Impreza's (sic) .

This picture I took of him at one of the club meets was pretty much how he was always seen - smiling and happy to be behind the wheel of a Scoob:

Sad news indeed, but presumably Pete (and the rest of the SS crew) will go on to other bigger and better things.

Check out loads of pics of Pete at various track day and dyno meets on myMeets page.

Good luck with all you do, Pete.

Christ almighty, anyone would think he'd died the way some of these posts are written.
I hate seeing any business go under, but it especially hurts to see this one go

End of an era!

A scoobysport back box was like many people my first mod on my scoob and the very item I twisted a mates arm to buy a few years earlier when he got an Impreza Turbo.........boy I had to go on at him to get it, but the echo it made around Hutton in Essex was fantastic, I d never heard anything like it!!!!

The Scoobysport name has become part of the furniture on the this BBS, but times change, people change, circumstances change.............we move on, look for pastures new, seek new goals and challenges..........................Good luck to Pete and whatever he plans to do next

Been away for a while and just read this, Very sad news i have always thought of Scoobyspot as one of (if not) the original Scooby tuner and performance parts suppliers with a damn fine reputation Peter was always avaliable to give good unbiased advice and encouragement.

Scoobysport will be missed.

Good luck Pete - with any future ventures.

This is a sad day.

Have also been away for a while and sad to hear the news. Scoobysport + Scoobynet were back in '99 the main reason for my commitment to the Impreza and why I decided to help set up the Swedish Impreza Club in '00. Thanks Pete for all your help!

Outside Scoobysport looking in...

Busy as a bee! (Nice clean desk... )

Very, very sad to hear this news. There's a lot of competition out there for what is still, in relative terms, a small market. Although I haven't used Petes services lately, it was comforting to know he was just a few miles down the road!
All the very best Pete. Regards JohnD

Very sad news,

Pete is one of the most helpful people I've met in the Scoobynet community here, always willing to give great advice irrespective of whether he stood to gain or lose by it.
Scoobysport will also be sadly missed.
I am sure Pete will bounce back, he has many loyal friends here.

best regards

Pete,

Just wanted to say thanks! Without you and Scoobysport my Subaru modifications probably wouldn't have gone as far.

Back with the old DGM MY97, which I took to Scoobysport for a backbox and was talked me into some clear side indicators. You even stayed late to fit the indicators for me, rather than dash home to your wife who was waiting to go on holiday!!

You even convinced me to get a downpipe (from a very early batch IIRC), which you fitted the following week.

It was a 100 mile round trip to Scoobysport for me, with quite a few mornings waiting patiently in the cold outside the workshop, but it was always a pleasure to be greeted by friendly people!

The driving lights followed! All of these parts were moved on to my silver MY99 along with a set of light anthracite MIMs.

It's a shame this had to happen!

Good luck Pete, whatever you decide to do in your future!
