If everyone is facing the right way b4 we set off there shouldnt be any problems, sportscenter could be an idea though if its only up the road.
Will the karts have cup holders for your Mclargecoffs though sticky

Chris, Kingy

Yep, we can have our own little convoy to meet the others. Somehow, I need to grab my brother from Ferrybridge on route, not sure how I am going to do that yet if the rest of the convoy is already grouped from Rothwell onwards?

I may have to carry on to get him, then pick up the convoy as it rolls past J33 M62, I can wait in the services and get the call from you Chris to get my **** moving...

We can sort out the finer details nearer the time I guess...

Laters.

Sticky. The lead is yours. Shall we go for a meet to leave at 6:25 then?

Gary... Good idea...can I ask for how many are wanting to convoy in?

We can only get 6 or 7 cars in the one layby.. as we have more than this & considering the time it will be much busier than last time, for safety's sake, we'll meet just up the road at the sports centre.

Updated with a meeting map & requesting convoy attendes (including reserves)...

Now meeting at the Rothwell Sports centre, 1 mile off M62 J30 on the North side A642, situated on the RHS.

17 WYIOC Names. 7 reserves.

Moi Convoy
SteveChaps
Simon & Dan Convoy
Dave & Helen Convoy
Chris & Kath Convoy
Mick
Sticky Convoy
Gary Convoy
Phil
J4CK5ON
Nick Convoy
Maddy
Dazza
Kingy Convoy

Reserves: (Apologies, places aren't guranteed at this time...)

Micks mate Tony.
Martins mate Dave.
Sticky's mate.
Tony Booth + 2 mates.
Martins other mate Ben

OK, Mick. Done. I'll confirm the Reserves on the 15th. This is the last day for WYIOC regulars to get their name down.

All...

Can I respectfully suggest that the convoy from Rothwell Sports Centre departs at 6:15. This would give us time to allow Si to pick up his brother from Ferrybridge, and we could then go through Knottingley along the A645 to the A19. Twistier and more entertaining than a straight run down the M62

Si, how would we be fixed for getting all these vehicles into your brother's street. It's not a Cul-de-sac is it?

Bugger...

Never mind, my Lord, I have a cunning plan...

Si, can your bro get himself to the traffic lights at Knottingley Hilltop? If he gets there for about 6:25 he can jump in with you and we can go straight off from there...

(Awaits rebuff, and starts working on plan C)

Talking

LOL @ you lot....

I like you plan mate, you're absolutely right, much better roads at t'other side a Knotlie... (sorry, winding my yorkshire slang clock back a few years).

I think we can do something here that will work out nicely. Meet at Rothwell Sport Centre as you've suggested, if you all depart from there at 6:15, i'll shoot off 5-10 minutes earlier and do the detour via Ferrybridge and then shoot up to Hill Top, and pick up the convoy as it rolls down the A645. That might work!!

Will have mobile anyway so I can check where your all at!!

PS, yes, t'is a cul-de-sac and not a very big one so that many scoobs probably wouldn't fit in, never mind the turning round bit at the end. LOL

Would be funny tho, and my mother and father wouldn't give a damn.... They'd also think it was quite funny...

Si - that relies on split-second timing, not to mention a reliable Vodafone to Orange interface....

Can it be done?? You bet!

Thumbs up

I know where it is, if Chris doesn't!! Reckon we'd need to be away from Shelley Park for 5:30, should take more than 30 minutes, but that time of day, you never know!!!

In a nutshell...

If you're on the M62 heading East, leave at J30, take the first exit from the roundabout (Leeds, Rothwell) and follow the road for about a mile. The sports centre is the big building on the right at the bottom of the hill. You'll recognise it by the 'Rothwell Sports Centre' signs, and a car park full of Scoobys...Oh, and me

Al, thanks for the badge. I'll print it out and stick it to my rear bumper so you all know who to blame when we gets lost...
