Si Mate - You know how old I am.... Nicely into my fifth decade...
Al - I was force fed Gigi and South Pacific by my mother. "You're not listening to T Rex/Mott The Hoople/Slade/Sweet/anything else from 1972, until you've finished your homework, my laddie...." [To be said in the voice of Eric Idle, as in the Life of Brian ('He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy')]
Kingy - come on the karting, if Al will let ya....
Cheers guys - HB.

Dazza... Make sure you use an official kart, and not your remote control Action Man racing car (Guess that puts the PC delivery back another week)

All this from the only Scooby driver to think of a new handbrake cable as a performance upgrade

Not you Gary. I think Phil needs to start looking for another host for our forums

Yep, same place. Time as advertised in the forum To save you that click of the mouse my good friend..
We have to be there at ~7pm for a brief at ~7:15pm for a kick off at 7:30.
Should take about 30-40 minutes to get there?
So I suggest meet to leave at 6:15pm.
I don't know exactly where it is, so this may be a little early..
Finish at 10pm, with my winning presentation at 10:15.
Then off to a local for a wind down beer...
Volunteer needed to lead convoy... Apply within. Good rates of pay, plenty of leave. Job requires superb driving skills, courage, split second decision making and a thick skin to take all the crap when it goes horribly wrong. Normal 'danger' money applies with free health and dental repairs.

Get me the postcode of the place and I'll plot a route. I'll lead convoy 'cos if it's raining my car won't get so mucky
Just seen the conditions and I don't think I'm qualified. Might blag it though for the free dental work

"The premises are situated on the A1041 Bawtry Road, just outside Selby centre. Car parking is free, secure and with video surveillance"
Looks like we go up the A19 and turn right through Brayton down Brayton Lane and then turn left up the A1041.
The maps not great from the site... Track Location Map but it's better than nothing...

Looks simple enough, will double check on my Mac in the morning. I tried putting you on the FunDay list, but the PC at work seems to have trouble editing WYIOC posts, so again, I'll let the Mac do it tomorrow.
Did you enjoy the film, HB says he has it now?

Yep, seems simple enough. I think Phil's been before, so he's a candidate... I'll check with the track just before, so I don't mind leading as I fit all of the criteria laid down!
I've added myself to the Fun Day II post.. Moderator power!
LOTR3? Many thanks mate, that was a crackin film. IMHO, best of the bunch... I can't wait for the 4 disk pack to come out; I may have an all nighter and watch all 3 back to back.. We could even have WYIOC film night? I got a PM from Chris to say he got it safely. I packed it up in a good jiffy bag..

Actionwise I'd say yes, best of the three. But for some reason the first one has a special place in my heart. The way it sets it all up and depicts how suddenly consequences beyond your control can alter your whole life.
The extended is rumoured to be 4'10", so that's an extra hour and there's talk of a breathed on box set in 2-3 years time when PJ does "The Hobbit". PJ himself has stated though that the EE's are the definitave cuts, and should they do it, it will be to tidy up certain bits he isn't happy with in retrospect (for instance, the first glimpse of Gollum in Moria, which bears little resemblence to the character whom later appeared in TTT)
We've already done the all night trilogy. Red Bull, black coffee, matchsticks.....Can't believe you didn't see it on the big screen, some films just have to be seen there. When ROTK was launched, we went to see the EE's of FOTR and TTT the 2 nights before making it 4xFOTR, 3xTTT and 4xROTK. Seeing FOTR EE on the big screen was the cinema highlight of the year for me. I doubt we'll ever see ROTK EE on the big screen, unless they roll them all out for The Hobbit.
I'm hoping for an early release of the EE in august, as the theatrical came out earlier than normal this year, being the last one with nothing more to promote at Christmas.

I'll (ahem) volunteer to lead the convoy, if nobody minds. I've not been karting there before, but I know where it is. Al, 45 minutes is very conservative. It will easily take less than 30 mins to get there, especially with the new race track, erm, by-pass open now around Smelby.
There's a new McDeadcows open right next door too, for mid race sustainance if needed. Not quite a 'Bridge' lasagne, but Phil might still spill some down his top

Alan,
do yu not think the laybys will be a bit too much for all these cars, it was bedlam last time setting off!especially for those facing wrong way.
I bet we got called some names by traffic we held up.
Rothwell sports centre is only one mile ish down road on right.
(big car park).
only a suggestion, not mutiny!
