Yes, 215/45 17.
The car came with RE011s, which are crap and tramline like mad. I then found a set of RE050 on Scoobynet for 200quid, brand new, and they are much better. Many people with new cars sell them on as they are not popular with the masses. I find them fine, no complaints.
Fronts now also have wear on inside at front (rest of tread is OK as I am not hard on my tyres) and dealer offered to fit them during last service for 145 each. I declined.
I thought ProDrive Geo should eliminate this uneaven wear, but dealer also said I should be getting 6-8k per set on a scooby. I am obviously not driving it hard enough!

I`ve been quoted £130...
I like them too, so i`ll replace them with the same.

thanks for the offer of your contact in oldham *****, but decided to stick with my guy in bredbury. Closer and still cheap after doing a search online for 215/40/17's
Ordered one new front for now, will assess how bad the other front is when I go for fitting on thursday.
thanks for the tyre loan super, but they are the wrong size! and as I'm on nights at the mo', we only need the one car, so just use the wifes all the time.
Blitz, I was expecting to get a lot more than 7k out of a set of front tyres! when I bought the car, I'd been told the tyres had done 6k already, and I swopped front to back after another 1k, then got at least 5k more out of them, and they were the same tyres!!
Maybe I'm just driving harder and faster now, and working the tyres much harder than before
Should be all sorted by thursday afternoon, thanks for your help guys,
chris.
