Default ****** UPDATE ******

Just got off the phone to Lee at Scoobymania

Normal Price = £47 + VAT + £5 delivery = £61

I've confirmed that 20 + filters will give us a 10% discount, 30 + filters and i need to ring again for a further possible discount.

Therefore 20+ filters = £55 inc VAT & delivery

They currently have 10 in stock and have just ordered another 25 (couple of days to arrive).

Payment -

If you still want one please confirm by e-mailing me at: christopher.davidson1@ntlworld.com under the subject STi Group Buy

In order to make it go smoothly i'll need the following details:

SN Username
Real Name
Shipping address
Contact Telephone No

Once i have confirmed numbers (see end date below) and e-mailed scoobymania the complete 'group buy list' (with all your shipping details etc) you can phone scoobymaia and make the payment yourself. They will tick you off the list once your purchase has been made.

This way credit card details are kept to yourself.

Answers to questions raised:

1. Part No: ST165464S000

2. This is a Genuine Sti part, Not fitted to any car as Std.

3. Ease of fitment - Direct swop, 60 sec job.

4. Lifespan/cleaning - Non Washable & replaced as per normal service intervals (check yer manual).

5. Performance gains - Approx 5 bhp.

6. MAF issues - non known.

Any other Q's please ask scoobymania.

tel: 0115 970 8555

I will update this this thread as people confirm they're in

I'll set a Group Buy end date of 0800 hrs Mon 15th Mar. once youve paid hopefully they'll have em deliverd next day, obviously subject to stock.

Chris (still having one )

So, as wse generated 30 interested people in a matter of a few days, why not wait till we have 40 people and then get a bigger discount for everyone ?

Yeah, for an even better price I would put my name down. I have only held off as it wont last as long as an ITG or Green cotton filter for the money...

I dont envisage the price dropping as much as some people might think.

Obviously scoobymania arent gonna sell these at a loss to themselves

i would have got one at the normal price anyway until someone mentioned doing a group buy.

>>>4. Lifespan/cleaning - Non Washable & replaced as per normal service intervals.<<<

ok so what kind of mileage would we be talking about? trying to get a comparison so i can decide whether to go green or join the GB and try the STi?

sorry for messing you about ive decided to get the JR filter instead as it also gets good reviews and has a longer life, will still replace it at regular intervals just not every year.

cheers

Out of interest is the filter changed every year on a service. Just had 30K service done on MY01 WRX (actually mileage about 15K) and I think it was changed then.

Gains of 5BHP seems a bit optimistic, I'll be sure to quote that on my pub talk figures rather than actual

with other mods i cant see why 5bhp is unrealistic, if the car is otherwise standard probably not.

Its a paper filter, only the 97/98 cars had a different filter, the 99/00 cars have a more sensitive MAF sensor which do not like goo filled filters, the STi one will be ok though
