Yes, you should port the Gruppe 'S' to the witness marks so that the headers meet up with the exhaust ports in the heads. May not get a big gain but every little bit counts and it is not a major hassle if you have the engine out anyway.
What are your intentions regards a re-build or other engine and any idea why it happened.? I wonder if you had any signifigant mapping changes recently?

Harvey, i suppose your right, for the effort involved its worthwhile porting them especially as i will have the engine out.
Re plans, i am still unsure, and in no real rush, have use of another car.
Still too many things to decide on, and what funds will permit, what ever option i take, i will be looking to strengthen the internals.
I have no idea as to why it happened as yet, i assume you have seen the pictures on 22b? The engine is nearly out, just need to lift it out tonight, as its already split from the gearbox.
The rod from number 4 has snapped about 1 inch from the big end, if i get time tonight i may get the heads off too.
I have recently changed the map, by adding quite a bit of fuel in various zones, as it was clearly running lean, other than that no changes. The map has stayed the same as it was at Scooby Shoot Out.
Will be interesting to see what the future holds!
Sorry for hijacking the thread guys.
