Erm..... Not bad but not brilliant and as Dog Soldiers was mentioned earlier, I prefered that, it was pretty bloody good imho! My cousin is Italian and she saw 28 Days Later and thought it was the best film ever. Maybe I ought to watch it in Italian, maybe translated better?!

"the amount of people that walked out half way through in disgust was unbelievable"

I did that during Moulin Rouge, what pile of old Pap that was.

"wandering round london with no one there"

Apart from the screaming Zombie people that is !

I thought it was very similar in plot to Dawn of the dead, had to check I had the right title, and guess what, it was Dawn of the dead (the 1970's shopping mall Zombie film) that I used to watch aged about ten at my mates next door cos he was the only kid around with a video in his house, they have only re-made this classic 25 years later with Ving Raimes (Marsarlus Wallace from Pulp Fiction) in one of the lead roles.

its at,

Cant wait, if you can get the original as its intense.

Dog Soldiers is THE greatest film in the history of cinema (all it needed to be perfect was some gratuitous $ex scenes)
you are absolutely joking,
the last thing you wanna do while running away from wolves are to have $ex,
and who was the only option.....
the woman?? and who was she remember imaging receiving head and she changes half way>>>>>>>>

i tend to think films which give you that little bit of mystery until the very end gives that extra spooky feel

28 days later was very good at the beginning until he started running away from the zombies.

other films.
jeepers creepers (first one) (cr4p film BTW) when you realised what the charactor is the scarey parts all gone.

another film (poss low budget VERY old film) "Langoliers" spooky in a way (i keep trying to put myself in their shoes and wonder what to do)until the very end you see what it was REALLY spoilt it.

I enjoyed 28days. Not a fan of Zombie flicks. But the plot was a bit unrealist at times, but if a plot was realistic then it wouldn't make a good film.

[pedant mode on]
Technically, 28 Day Later isn't a zombie film. The "zombies" weren't actually dead, but suffering from the Rage. They eventually starved to death.

I enjoyed both 28 Days Later and Dog Soldiers. Made a change from the usual Hollywood formulaic films.

I particlarly enjoyed 28DL because I lived & worked in the City and recognised most of the places he was wandering around. Even with CGI an impressive job making it look so deserted.

Both films had Army bods in them also. Nothing I enjoy more than bellowing at the screen about the number of rounds they fire on fully auto - I'd love to get hold of an SA80 with a gazillion round magazine Plenty of other things I tend to look out for in any film with Army/guns etc.
