Kev,
Something you might want to think about following the last day down there -
there isn't enough room in the yard outside for many cars so it will either be first come first on the rollers or you need to run to a predetermined order with cars parking out on the road until its their turn - if you don't it will be chaos!
Just a thought mate

As I have no idea where I'm going, I'm going to head to the Motorcycle Museum for 7.30-8.00.
Is anyone else other than 5cby meeting there?

Martin.

Marv,

'tis a good plan, but that also depends on when people turn up - hence the first come first served approach (with the exception of non-Scoobs and Fangoria who is to run 1st).

i can/will set a predetermined running order and see how it goes. i am gonna call PS today to see how many cars they can do in the morning. anyone acompanying non-Scoobs, should perhaps run later and could attend in the avo. i will update this thread later.

** UPDATE 01.04.2004: There are now 3 available spaces for any late comers! Also, I will hopefully be publishing a run order by this afternoon (01.04.2004).

** UPDATE 08.03.2004: PLEASE NO TURBO'd AUTOS!!! as advised by Powerstation All places are now filled - but I will keep a list of reserves for any cancellations etc on a 1st come 1st served basis

** UPDATE 24.02.2004: BOOKING CONFIRMED FOR SATURDAY 3RD APRIL 2004

** UPDATE 24.02.2004: 5 initial spaces will be reserved for non-Scoobs, maybe more depending on numbers or lack thereof

Guys 'n' Gals,

I have a confirmed date of Sat 3rd April. We need between 15 and 30 cars @ £25 (cash) each.

I am compiling a spreadsheet to record achievements on the day with a view to posting on Dynomite Scoobies and or this thread (let me know if you'd prefer not to have your figures posted online). Feel free to mail me your full specification to be added to the spreadsheet.

Cheers,

Kevin

no problem Phil,

i'll add ya - you can meet up at the Motorcycle Museum Jct 6 M42 with NathanJ and Steve (5cby) at 8am if you like (although you may be lower down the running order so may choose to turn up later, but its up to you) - more accurate running order details later.

cheers,

Kev

Ok folks, here is the proposed running order (see RUN ORDR column). Note that PS can probably run 18 - 20 cars by lunch time.

i have tried to keep groups that i know are travelling together close to each other in terms of running order. if there are any serious objections to the running order please feel free to voice them and i will try to accomodate where possible.

thanks,

Kevin

Kevin,

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to pull out...

I've had a series of failures on the car which mean I haven't been able to get the mods done for the day. No point going, as the car hasn't changed since last time...

Oh yeah, and it doesn't run at the moment either!!

Sorry... Have fun. I'll be keeping an eye out for the results.

Hello All

Good news for me, Sorted my boost problem out, seemed my HKS ECV 4 PRO unit was faulty and was holding wastegate open slighty from .8 - 1.1 bar, hitting 1.1 bar held at 4,500 rpm

Have disconnected HKS jobby and fitted a manual device for now..

Now hits 1.1bar held at 3,300 rpm....

Low down torque is here again

Thanks for all you info and help regarding my problem.. I am so happy again

See you Saturday am 9.00 start isn't it?

Cheers

a BIG thanks to all those that turned out yesterday - we ran a total of 19 cars (two of which were non-Scoob). i will endeavour to get the graphs scanned and available during next week.

does anyone (Webster, Tony Tools etc) know how to contact Lewis (Astra GSi)? i ddin't get a payment of him for his run. i ensured it was covered, but could do with a cheque to cover the cost. if you can get the message to him please let me know.

thanks,

Kevin

Hello Kevin

Thanks for arranging this all, was fun to meet you all...

Very happy with my RUN , even though ones with same BHP seemed to have another 25LB Torque on me.... But so glad boost problem sorted out.. got my Dawes device today and fitted that and boost now comes in stronger and 300rpm lower than yesterday when I was using bleed valve even more of a kick now

Kevin, if you can't get hosting and need space for those images let me know

Cheers

cheers Rob,

good news on the boost - we intend to fit a Dawes in-line with my factory boost controller to aid spool up when we get chance. i managed to blow my crank case oil seal on the way home so i limped the car up to Scoobyclinic .

it drove up there quite happily, but was obviously shipping loads of oil which was a concern. Kev reckons i'll have it back by this evening though as its not a major job (which is good news) and we think the engine is fine.... phew!

i'll get back to you re the hosting if i can't get the graphs on dynomite scoobies.

cheers,

Kev

Spotted your red beast up at Scoobyclinic on Saturday when I went to pick mine up. Hope it's not too serious.

doesn't seem it from the way it still drove up there ok - and Kev is fairly confident it's just a seal. is yours sorted now?

Yep, all fixed now. New grille, mesh and STi front lip added as well . Think it was seeing yours that gave me the idea for the additions.
