I will be interested in seeing peoples faces when they leave Powerstation.
Some people are claiming as much as 435 ft lb of torque. LOL i dont think any subaru has made that much at PS. I may stand corrected. Will be an interesting day.

What bar of boost is that on?
And what gearbox are you running as loads of people are having probs finding a good gearbox taking that amount of torque?
Does the torque come in nice and low or does it just come in at the end?
Cant wait to see this graph - sounds interesting. Must be a mid 11 second 1/4 mile car
More and more powerful scoobs are popping up. Seems like a few people are going to be hitting mid 11s in their scoobs this year

smellyvag,
i can't speak for any other than my own car's estimated outputs, but i know there are several 2.5 conversions knocking about now so high torque figures in Scoobs are definitely on the increase.

John banks, has 400bhp and 400 torque. He has UK 6 speed in his now to take the torque and i think thats even causing probs.
All depends when the real torque comes in
I think harveys torque comes in really late, and thats why his STI gearbox is handling ok.
Will be interesting to see though as there do seem to be some big scoobs coming up

money,
that's my next concern. i am mapping on Sunday with Pavlo, hopefully the the torque won't creep much over 300lbft (perhaps i'm being optimistic, but actually i do want huge torque) as i am running an STi II RA engine & FMIC + other necessary mods with a UK gearbox. just got no dollars in the pot for a box just now, so i hope it lasts a while.

What the......................
the 435lbs is a typo by the organiser :P
If you look on page 4 you will see that I dont claim any such figure.............
I am claiming over 400bhp but only about 335lbs!!!
I only have a 2 litre and a relatively small turbo so I wont get good Torque
As far as the boost goes - I'll be running circa 1.5/1.6 Bar.......The engine I have can cope with 2 bar no probs on a much bigger turbo and that is the next route I may be taking once I have got the car up to Well Lane to put a smile on my face after going to PS!!! and GForce!!
As far as Torque goes the sti gearbox can cope with much more torque than I have.....its all about not doing 1/4 miles, launches off the line, etc and treating it with a bit of respect!!!!
See ya there......... my headers had better hold out for the day.........

ps - the reason Harvey's car's torque comes in late is that he has a large turbo on - with any larger turbo the torque comes in later..... and also feels far more laggy on the road
See ya there - not long now
My car only comes out once a month!!! - just waiting for a new WRX to arrive...... this will be much cheaper to drive than my car that only gets about 15 to the Gallon!!

Rob,
i'm afraid i'm not clued up enough to help. re Fangoria's comment on large turbos - i'm not sure how a TD05 compares to what Harvey is running, but its a fair size turbo and my graph (on my old WRX engine with some similar mods to you and @1.3 bar) indicates the following:
max torque achieved = 264lbft @ 5360 and 101 mph
at 3000 rpm torque = 180lbft
don't know if this comparision helps or not. hope you get it sorted.

let me know where you are coming from and i will try to get some directions to you. our planned route is on the main post with the Powerstation map. i believe this is the most direct route coming from Notts/Derbys.
hope that helps, but post your departure point anyway and i will take a look for ya. perhaps we could meet you guys along the way???

Kev, hope your UK box lasts a while to
lol at Fangoria going to well lane I think im going to go up there to one day to get my scoob reading. Their figures are very nice. pmsl
335lbs is nice. I thought you had 435lbs and wanted to see the gearbox! lol. Loads of people are having probs with gearbox now. STI seems good for around 350
Fangoria - you can have the turbo come in much earlier though. Trouts - big turbo and comes in 1.6bar at around 3300rpm!!!!!!!!! And his turbo is absolutely huge!

good for 350....
Yeah I know I had 365lbs at G Force and 360 lbs at Well Lane last time I went on the rolling road. PS numbers tend to read lower on the Rollers, but from my perspective I'm only after a comparison with prior runs, so I dont care if the rollers read much lower than say Well Lane
Having had several runs, the figure that I get at PS compared to Well Lane has ranged from being 45-60bhp difference (PS lower than Well Lane), so if I got 414bhp last time at PS I wonder what that would give me at Well Lane - answers on a postcode to...... '' I want to have a crippling insurance hike, Well Lane Business Centre, Batley...........'' - seriously though if any one reads this dribble then again I'm only after a comparative indication - only those that have had their cars engine dyno's can have an idea of who rollers are more accurate........
If I put a bigger Turbo on I will be retaining the Gearbox and then if that goes I may put in the 6 spd box (but no way a Dog Box)
As far as Dave Taylors/Rannoch/Trouts car goes (his car was initially the same base spec as mine - as I bought mine a few months after he did!! - sti5's) I guess that he has a slightly different underbonnet configaration with a rotated turbo, different up-pipe and exhaust downpipe, different front mounted intercooler piping and an external waste gate?? - just guessing as I havent caught up with Dave in the last year............. he did tell me he was driving around in a Porsche last time I briefly spoke a few weeks back........ some people are just too rich!!!!

lol at Steve. Well Lane is higher. Mikee on here had 270 or 280 bhp, went to Well Lane and had 330. Well lane is the place to go for good figures
Agree on the dogbox - thats a big no no.
lol at Trout having a beast scoob and a porsche. Same as rocket ronnie, high powered R33 skyline and a porsche to! lol
I wish

I should be able to at least prove in the next few weeks the clear discrepancy that I've experienced between PS and Well Lane........ but then I already know about it........... maybe one person would disagree........ but hey I'm not trying to be controversial...............

Luc,
no... the running order will be determined on the day unless you have a specific preference (barring Fangoria who will be 1st and non-Scoobs which will run last). i have/will note preferences on my spreadhseet where requested. All non-Scoobs will have to run at the end by default as the road will have to change to suit.
