If I am taking the WRC kit off his car to send to you , and fitting the 335mm kit onto his car what is he using for calipers ? as the 335mm kit is to use the standard calipers which he doesnt have anymore , he sold them , or is he having yours...
Cheers Ian

Ian,
I`m shipping my calipers down to Gavin today and they should hopefuly be arriving at his tomorrow morning.
Do you think you might manage the swap over this weekend?
Cheers,
Chris.

Ian - I don't mean to bombard you with yet more questions but I was just having a think and was wondering, is there any information supplied with the kit as to the bedding in procedure?
If not, what have you found to be the best procedure?

The instuctions from Ian state that around 500 miles is the bedding in period. I would imagine that you want to avoid harsh braking and that maintaining a high brake temp is a bad idea.

Cheers Ian and Welloilbeefhooked re: the bedding in - that sounds fine. They will do easily at least 300 miles before they are used in 'anger'.
Is there any particular 'regime' though to bed them in properly (DS2500 + grooved)? Or really do I just need to take it easy for the first few hundred miles?
To be honest, I have never undertaken any specific bedding in process before (ie 10 stops from 30mph, 1o stops from 50mph etc..) - but then again I have never really had to bed in 'perfromance brakes' before. If you can call the standard ones performance brakes , well I just took it easy really with them.

Ian, I know you've been busy on here let alone preparing people's brakes but I was just checking on how you were getting on with my kit/ a kit for me, and do you plan to get it off to me today as hoped?
Just trying to firm up getting it fitted, thats all.
I'll understand if you don't reply straight away as it seems you have questions and things left, right and centre here.
Regards,
John

Ian, everyone,
Fitted my kit today, piece of cake. Although, I do have a couple of questions.
1) The Speedline ST2's I have (17"), the spokes only clear the callipers by 3-4mm. Is this ok? I would imagine the wheels dont flex enough to make contact?
2) The kit widens the track a little and leaves less thread for the nuts to tighten onto. Is 1 cm of thread ok?
Cheers for any info.
PS Not been using them hard, but what a difference to the feel. Top kit this is!!!
