Kev,
Exedy from API is still going strong on my own car after track time and full bore 1/4 launches, either a great statement about the clutch or a damning condemnation of a lack of power for the effort I put in

didn't find anyone anywhere near as cheap as farnells so i'll just have to sit it out for a couple of weeks

gearbox is almost ready to be built back up, should have the new 3.9 pinion shaft swapped over for the weekend or early next week, then hopefully gearbox in the weekend after *fingers crossed* will have a decision on suspension in the next week too

I've still got a secondhand Exedy Organic in mine. 60+ good launches and 12k+ miles and no signs of slip.

When the time comes I will replace with another Exedy Organic. Excellent clutch.

syncros have gone i reckon, bitch to get into gears 90% of the time, so thought i'd upgrade while i was at it, with the new ratios i should get somewhere inbetween RA & UK ratios, so longer 5th and will need one less gear on the strip

i reckon this clutch has done under 1k & how ever many launches i did at elvington that wet & wild weekend

Kev:

Here's a surprise!

It was slow, but room for development.

keep me informed on how it's turning out

i shall be building my gearbox up this week ready for fitting next weekend, big thanks to SCOOBYCLINIC for sorting me out my 3.9 CWP and swapping the gearset over another DCCD centre diff should turn up this week to fit to the new box instead of having to remove the one off mine at the time of fitting (i get my money back so it just saves a bit of time)

now, do i fix the old gearbox up (new syncros etc.) and sell it refurbed or do i just sell it as is?

ps - check out the new Scoobyclinic ad in the latest Jap mags about to hit the shelfs, i did it if you talk to them, say you love the new ad, i might get some more stuff off them

got as far as bolting the new bevel gear onto the front diff and inserting the pinon shaft into the casing when i read the PDF and it mentioned the drive pinion shims and im not sure if i have enough or too many to make the proper contact between the two gears seeing as i've 2 completely different gears to when it was spaced properly <retires to the drivetrain forum to ask the question>
