4mm thick caliper spacers required, unless they are 1 piece jobbies.

Thumbs up

Kev,

Car's looking great (even with those blue mudflaps ). I'm amazed it's keeping so clean - but then again, there appears to be little time to drive it at the moment??

Keep up the good work!

gets driven once every other weekend atm ....oh, i went to blockbuster in it last night

brake piccies

can you guess what they're off?

you can see where my problem is getting 28mm discs in, can't you?

the discs, gone a bit rusty already

think i'm going to need something more than 4mm spacers to get these to fit Paul

MGR V8?
Why didn't you simply buy some AP's for the right disc? (apart from the crazy cost)
Why not contact AP see if they have spacers to suit, this is how most of the applications are made up anyway, standard cylinder sides and space to suit.

Last night my picture test drove me made, but worked (eventually) and this morning they don't!

get yourself an account here http://photobucket.com/ alot easier

they're off a MGF Trophy believe it or not and the calipers are bespoke for MG so AP won't have spacers for them they were alot cheaper than buying the right ones

Photobucket is not taking new members at the moment

A good machine shop should be able to make up the spacers to suit
IIRC the MG/AP pads are really cheap

Hubba
So? Whats her phone number?

IIRC they use the same calipers in the MGF cup cars.
I think I read on here that the pads were pretty cheap because of that (serious)

Just looking at some previous posts regards the cel with apexi pfc fitted.
The constant cel is a high boost warning.
I had Andy F set mine up at 1.2 bar..
My boost peaks at 1.3 midrange so it comes on, when prolonged use over 1.2 bar(ie more than 1 or 2 seconds)

Just thought it may help.

PS.. thanks for the time and effort keeping this thread going. It makes top reading.

no exhaust fitted today, had chance to offer the new brakes up though, got some more measurements, looks like they may fit, just need the brackets making up

Andy F...he said if he`s near me he`ll reset the boost warning a touch higher...
I`m sure for a few quid he will do it or even advise how to move the warning limit.

i'll just bung the old system back on if it doesn't i worked out the clearance is about 50-60mm, but that's over the axle so normal speed bumps won't be a problem (famous last words )
