West Yorks - Fenay Bridge - 26th Feb
#91
ALERT - ALERT
just passed the fenay bridge tonite - and there are loads of gypos camped there.
maybe not good to take all your motors there - probably worth someone ringing to see what situation is. - can take weeks to shift them.
alternative - Sovereign - Shepley ??

Gypos???
My friend you are surely mistaken.
If yuo were to pay closer attention to the posts above you will understand that my new motor requires servicing every 13 miles, these 'Gypos' were merely my new ralliart service crew gearing up for my imminent visit to the 'bridge'. They were acting under orders from myself to find the most secluded corner of the car park so as not to cause embarrasment to all drivers of inferior transport that would be present on the night. ... er... and the 14 year old transit pick up is...er...a clever disguise.. for...er..to keep away prying eyes..err...
Okay, where we going then?

Panic over.. Bunch of muppetts!
The bridge say that Granada are filming Hearbeat, and the Gypos were 'Gypos' and the film crew for the filming!! (Where's YTV's Madgrip when you need him?)
They'll be gone by tomorrow, and we can then lower the tone further with our presence next week.
I did ask to be kept in mind if they wanted a 15 car convoy of Subaru nutters, driving past waving, doing doughnuts and handbrake turns etc.. but they said it might not be in keeping with the 60's feel..
ps.. I missed FQSticky out cos he's not going above 3k RPM for some time

Cool, that's ok then....
I'll just have to do my "Engine up to 60degs oil temp" run then....
Food makes it worth though...
Can tell it's only a week away, about 30 posts in the last 24 hours....

If I knew any other Evo owners we'd gang up on you lot. But I don't. Mate.
So is Greengrass up for a spin in the WR Prodrive Special?
Or does he want a more sedate 'trundle' in a sub 3k motor.
Which is black
And sexy.
and not in my garage...
yet...
Sorry folks, a little too much Whyte & Mackay tonight (hic)

Hi Kingy - Might be moving mine up (or down!) to other house this weekend. So, we could do a mini-mini convoy.
Spotted the gypo film crew this AM - was convinced our venue had been over-run by migrant guest workers.....

LOL Kingy, yeah, it would be a mighty mini-convoy.
As HB says, even less distance for him, but we can go the extra mile by detouring via his house, lol, and maybe over the tops. Might even get it up to flat-out engine temps... For the last half miles...
C U all Thursday.
Cheers
Simon

So, Dazza, what massive tunung mods you thinking of for the T25, assuming you want to keep up? Twin Turbo conversion? Tell you what, I'll give you a tow if you promise not to drive with yer brakes on.
Tell the misuse that the Mama's & Papa's STi9 pram/pushchair combi is very reasonably priced, and can out drag a Type RA on a good day. The scoop looks a bit awkward though, and gets in the way of feeding times.
(Seriously, congratulations, mate. How old's Tia Jade, 12???? Twelve bloody years of trying every night, sometimes TWICE!!!, and he finally goes and blows it by getting her up the duff)
Got a mate with a Heliocopeter to help out with mid-run refuelling. I know I'll have to slow down a bit to take the Opti on board, but I'm sure you lot'll wait for me before ordering the food.
BTW, might not have taken delivery by Thursday, so all this 'friendly' banter could amount to nothing. Still, at least me face'll match the colour of me Scoob.

Nick...
The very fact that you passed it ought to tell you that I wasn't driving it!!
Looking like Sunday / Monday, depending on whether dealer can get RFL
No sense paying a full month for a couple of days.
So It looks like I'll be coming to the bridge in the old faithful. Probably be our last ride out together. I'm starting to get all emotional ....

Just thought I'd share it with you...
Ah well, my 1000th post - better get it over with and move out of the newbie status I know it takes a long time for things to be accepted in Yorkshire...
Also a free BTTT
See you on the 26th, I've waxed the scoob for the first time this year after descaling the salt off it - just let's see how much crud I pick up before Thursday

Well done Mate!! For the thousandth post that is - not waxing the car
Been IT-ing since 6.00pm. Moving office (back into other house) - it's a bl**dy nightmare. Only another 4 hours to go, I reckon, and we'll be fully operational again.....
Oh, and this one's about 40 feet from bathroom to office....

What kind of printer needs a 54mb PPD? I've just checked the size of a few on my HD and they're all around 44k each, with a utility/toolbox no larger than 11mb!
CU thursday.
