Nice one guys. Appreciate the effort. Brilliant.
Found this funny.
That's three years and 3 months before I was born. That's a result.
Why's the clock on PMT (French) time and not GMT?

Hi Guys
Thanks for all the nice comments, and for the important feedback.
Please read this before replying as I've answered most of them already.
Over the next 2 weeks, the following will happen..
Import Favourites - under current investigation, but should be fairly straight forward.
Smilies, all other graphics. Will be updated and coloured.
1970 - This is the date for all people that didn't have a join date. This will be solved.
Speed. We are still working on this, and will be tweaking continuously until we're happy.
Old threads missing. This should not be the case. It should simply be that you are not viewing the
Search. This requires a huge indexing process and will be done bit by bit at night for the next 2 weeks. Once done, we'll switch the search facility on.
Under 13!! Sorry about that, we'll sort this out today.
Format / Layout, etc. Let's get the site stable and useable first. We can then work on the layout with everyone's input.
Why not vBulletin before? At the time of writing our in-house BBS there wasn't a package on the market able to cope with our traffic and still have al the features we wanted.
---
Thanks again for all the comments.
All the best
Simon

Well I just clicked on 'ScoobyNet' and got a page displaying a load of code that builds up the page. Must be a glitch. It did have the great comment near the bottom - 'let's spit out the hmtl and get outa here'
Also, why is 'Fight Club' a subscriber forum? Aren't most the people who want to 'fight' tend to be non subscribers anyway?

Reckon you're doing a grand job. I doubt you'll please everyone but that's life! When I first logged on I thought the page looked a bit busy, but I'm getting used to it. Maybe it's just that I can't cope with [hushed voice]change[/hushed voice].

Congratulations, big surprise when I connected today. It looks very smart and we will soon get used to the different places to find it all. We all owe you for the hard work to get it up and running.

I'm so lost! What happened to VIPs? Is that gone forever or is it somewhere else?
Apart from that great improvements! I think I might need to sign up for membership though

Think you got cut off mid sentence there!! OK, I posted to 3 threads in "Non Scooby Related" yesterday. "Has anybody been to a Spiritualist", "Girl with X-Ray Eyes" and "Spooky goings on" (May not have the titles spot on, but close enough). I have been back as far as the 27th Jan to try and find them and can't find them. Other who were also chatting on those threads have been unable to find them. Guess there are 3 possible causes:
1) They didn't import across for some reason
2) The last posted date was not set / set incorrectly resulting in them being way back in the past somewhere or not appearing at all
3) A Moderator has decided to delete all 3 of them for some reason.
When you get a mo - can you try and have a dig and see what you can find out - cheers

It's all taking some time to find my way round - I guess that just means I will get into more trouble from the wife for spending even more time on Scoobynet !!!
Think it looks good and it will be fine in a while when I get used to it....
The VIP folder has been mentioned before (or lack of it) I found an 'add to buddy list' somewhere in passing. Is that the same thing ?

"Anyone been to a Spiritualist?" has re-appeared, but is missing about 4 pages of posts, I assume its reappearance is due to you fiddling in the depths of databases?

Yes.. I found that clicking on the user name brought up a sub menu with an option to add to buddy list. I tried adding myself (so I could track all my posts) but it says you can't add yourself to your own buddy list.
I also found that the other features ('search for other posts by this user' etc) brought up a message saying I didn't have permission to do this.
I guess it will come clear in time !!
I also noticed I have become a Scooby Newby again (a born again virgin !) So how many posts do I have to make to graduate to Scooby Regular now ? I don't post that often !!!

Sorry to keep bombarding you - just trying to help get things sorted! The Spiritualist thread is back, and after Asif and I posted messages we could then access the other 4 pages of posts, not sure what other people are seeing or if it is fixed now!

Hi Chaps
Please read carfully
Some features are not yet working, and we can sort out the layout and other niggles over the next 2 weeks.
---
Olly, that's very odd. All the threads should be there. One thing that might be possible is that the list of page numbers only shows 5 at a time (at the top and bottom of thread pages).. could that be it? In order to jump to the last one, you click "last" instead of 5??
It's a long shot. If that's not the problem.. it could be some (not so) clever caching going on. Could you let me know.
Cheers

Like the new look/organisation but what has happened to VIP's and other functions?
Do not like all the restrictions on posting etc.. very difficult.
