that is very true=> install equal header = loss of boxer rumble.

so i was thinking, as in the same case in the spec C, do we reeplace the equal header n instal unequal header to get back the boxer music? that versus all the equal headers gains? plus, which header will have the more or less same benefits as in the equal header? i.e. positive effects in the top/bottom end, hp/torque, better distribution etc....

There were flexi ones...remarkably similar to the OBX. Jack replaced it with the hard pipe (with the nice inside detailling).

Jackie,

I think your Spec C has the twin scroll turbo arrangement so the normal design of headers wont fit. I'm not 100% sure on this but someone will probbably correct me if i'm wrong.

Boxer rumble is still there with Un-equal but only really at tick over & just above, Once you get up the rev range, It goes & turns more Motorbike Like.. As for Gains my Brother had equal Lentgh on His Uk Scoob, No noticable difference between mine & His

'I just sold a set of original sti headers (ported) for £70 - so you could have had mine maybe - but no-one looks at a bargain!'

Some of us do!

Trash!
It's the pulsing that causes the type of noise, and the twin-scroll set-up makes the pulsing regular & so removes the 'classic' noise & also gives improvement to performance.
So the two come together...
