Hi soob you should have bought a P1, don't think the standard wrx internals are going to last, you might need to invest in a gems ecu

She was only 297 at the flywheel. But perhaps on the limit for standard internals and injectors. Looking at a STI 9 spec C bottom end and bigger injectors just now. Got the manifold and flywheel ready to fit on the new build.
Pain in the *** , but perhaps it's for the best. Build a good one that will last.

297 is nowhere near the limit for standard internals. I have a standard MY00 UK long block that I removed to make way for the 2.5. It did 406 BHP at Star Performance and is in fine running order. It is from a MY00 UK with 30000 miles and I was keeping it as a spare, but I'll probably get another 2.5 as a spare soon. If you are interested email me johnbanks@dsl.pipex.com
