So to propose something means that it has to be acted on by me? Have people never heard of being able to talk both sides of the fence. Sometimes extreme proposals are needed to get people to look at moderate solutions to problems. People should look beyond their own preconceived attitudes, myself included. I know what my failings are, do others know theirs?

I boycotted SN for about 10 hours last night. Though I was asleep at the time.

I can't say for anyone else, but I'm bored already of these whinges. Let's get back to the important discussions again, like where all the white dog **** has gone in the world etc.

duh and just what we were on about, look below my post now!
Personaly i think that it interferes with posts and is not needed on here.
Why do we need google adverts on here if their only reason is for scoobynet to be getting £ revenue from it.
Kinda giving in to comercialism!! <- (spelling).
I use the Invision board for my car forums and its much nicer than this one and i dont have adverts in peoples topics and posting places!!
We have one advert on the main page that sits at the top left, (kinda what scoobynet have on here) and thats it. We get some money from that but scoobynet has multiple advert changing so i would imagine the get money per add so surley that is enough?
And at £25 for membership every year and you multiply that by the members that use it/renew it every year and i would say that pays for the server and the webspace and the bandwith lmit.

Sorry DJ,
I Disagree strongly mate...
Can you "Honestly" tell me youve looked into the cost of serving a site of this magnitude? From your reply, i honestly doubt it.

I know you admin Cruise Blackpool, but honestly, we are on a totally different scale here..

No offence intended DJ, ive purely posted as i feel it worthwhile to clarify the discussion.

OK

I think that's enough now chaps.

Let's let it drop. Everyone can make a rash comment on the spur of the moment, and then some people (when this comment is countered) find it difficult not to continually reply / defend, etc. That's just human nature.

The best thing to do now is let it drop, let us all have a think about it, and then return refreshed.

All the best

Simon

Hi Simon you can lock the thread if you think having it open will just continue the bad feeling on the bbs.
