Question

Tiggs - did you try a GT20 during your research?

Any comments?

mick- no but its good!

my budget was £1500 and i blew that by £200 to get the clp170, the GT20 was just too much....and in hindsight the CLP fits the living room better, it sits in the corner and is very discrete- the living room is a bit modern and a classic looking piano would have looked out of place (that said i'd have had it if it had been at the same price!)

i've had a few lessons now and have to say that even my ham fisted efforts sound nice on the yamaha- on sat my teacher gave me a demo of his talents and it was stunning- it sounded like we had a grand piano in the room!

he does composing/arranging for TV and film so knows his stuff and thinks the 170 is great....i am a happy yamaha customer!

in fact im gonna have a 10 min practice now...couldnt do that at midnight on an accoustic!
