Well I did the test fit today. Must say that getting the exisiting scoop off wasn't as easy as I thought. Thought it was going to be 6 screws and that's it, but you have to remove the assembly with the water spray first, then you can remove the scoop screws.

I fitted up the new scoop but didn't take it for a run out because that meant re fitting the water spray assembly. Fits nicely. One of the screws from the new scoop isn't a perfect fit so I need to modify the hole it is going to go in once it has been sprayed.

I think it looks very nice and can't wait to drop it off at the paint shop on Monday.

Have got pictures of Sti8 scoop on 97 classic bonnet, I think it is probably the nearest, lookwise, to the pukka 8 version.

picked the scoop up today from the paint shop.

They have done an excellent job.

I'll be fitting it tomorrow afternoon (weather depending) and will post pics then.

Right then. All fitted.

Needed to amend (make bigger) the holes in the bonnet that the bolts from the new scoop fit into, as I needed to align the scoop for a better fit.

Anyhow, that aside its all fitted. Will go for a test run later to make sure there's no rattles or problems.

here's the pics, before and afters !

I can assure you the scoop doesn't dip in the middle, must be the angle of the photo I took
its still looks like it dips in the middle, but even if it does it looks the business. i bet you keep looking at it when you go to the car
