At least there are some characters in Darts.
Umlike the current faceless robots in most sports these days.
Bring back Alex Higgins, James Hunt, Bill Werbernick, Jocky Wilson etc etc.

A sport, in my definition, should involve some form of competitive physical exertion. So that rules golf out as well...
All them rally drivers sitting down on the job, shocking!

The MC's crack me up too.
I haven't bothered watching it for a couple of years. The last time was with my late [Dutch] mother-in-law. She thought it was hilarious. This thread has turned me back on to it.

Perfect match:
Eric Bristow v Jockey Wilson
commentary by Sid Waddell
Timeless quote "more nervous than a fly in a glue factory"
The oldies are the goodies, much exctitment, players binge on pints and ****, top drawer entertainment.
Seems sanitised compared to the old matched before the championship split.

I dunno Scoobydooooo. At least horses fall over every now and again. You'd think darts players would have that problem as well given the size of the beerguts and the amount of alcohol consumed.
Actually, I think darts would be a lot more enjoyable for the audience if the players had to throw at each other instead of a board. At least that'd give the thinner guys an advantage - less to hit...
