Are most people paying on the gate for admission ?
I didnt intend on paying in advance, but now i am not so sure

 

I paid in advance but IIRC it doesn't help avoid the queues

 

Thats what i was thinking.
I cant see them opening a seperate queue for ticket holders

 

They didn't at the Japshow last year

Whether you've booked in advance or not you still wait in the same queue.

At the time I get there, there won't be much of a queue, hopefully.

I got my tickets last week but as Craig says it wont get u in any quicker,but seeing as we will be getting there early it shouldnt be too much of an issue.

But at that time I would expect a mile queue into the place.

I'll be aiming to get there before 8. (Just to set up and to find our space which will take me about an hour)

I'm not 100% but I think the Welsh contingent may have some spare passes due o some recent bereavements and accidents. Best bet is to try and get hold of Chris Garner in the Wales forum as he will have the details.

Are you going to email out the spec sheets for everyone to fill in like we did at JAE. As we wont always be around our cars to answer questions it would be good to see a list of mods that the car has got and the performance rather than waste time hanging around waiting for the owner to turn up.

Hi all,


I have some bad news, I will not receive the car passes in time to send out to you for the show on Sunday.

Santa Pod posted the car passes out yesterday (Tuesday) to me on Special delivery, I have not received them.

I checked my address with them and they had 1 of the letters of my postcode wrong.
So it is unlikely that I will receive them at all !!!!

So, I'm in talks with Santa Pod about ways of getting everyone into the display area of the show.

I think at the moment that it may be a list of names at the gate, and they will issue out the car passes there.

This needs to be confirmed tomorrow when I speak to the guy who will be organising on the day.


To say I'm a bit annoyed is an understatement, considering the amount of time I have put in.

So, if you can hold on for an update tomorrow it would be appreciated.

Santa Pod were very apologetic, not surprising considering we are the biggest club there on Sunday, and probably will always be the bigggest club that turn up to their events. (I don't think they want to upset us)

So to anticipate the outcome I am going to create a list for them, With your names and Forum names on.

What I do need is an urgent reply to anyone who has asked for more than 1 car pass, so I can get the names of the people who are coming with you so I can add them to my list.

Update Fastshow



Ok, I have spoken to Santa Pod today.

They are going to open up another new gate/lane for us on Sunday.

I will be sending Santa Pod a list of all attendees so they can allocate car passes as you enter the gate.

On arrival at the gate, could you please assist the Santa Pod staff, by telling them you are on the list for the SIDC stand and give them your name (or username)

Also to assist everyone it would be appreciated you get there as early as you can.

Gates for the Sunday open at 8am (although it's a weekend event, some have camped over from the RWYB day on the Saturday)

From the conversation I had with them they are expecting a lot of people and cars there, I would say that its going to be bigger than the Japanese show in October.


A reminder to those that requested more than 1 carpass

If you request more than 1 car pass I need to know the other names of the people in your party/group.

These people I need a reply from no later than tomorrow at 1pm with names. I'm sending the list to Santa pod tomorrow afternoon.

The people are:
