I'm going to make a detour halfway through the cruise, Robbie and I will be visiting the Ark Royal

Maps always seem to make the places look bigger than they are.

If we decide to stop at the McDonalds near Canary Wharf as we come out of the Limehouse link for the second time, it is very close to the Thames and just across the river from the dome.
Literally just down the road from the McDonalds is an active dock where other military vessels have moored in the past. Assuming the Ark Royal is at the same place we will be a few hundred yards from it.
