Please can i add that this is not going to be a race around the City, There are people coming from far afield and we need to keep everyone together.

Good point Tiny about driving round the city; whenever we're in convoy we should all keep the speed low so when people get stuck at lights - which will happen a lot in London especially - they can easily catch up.
I know it's tempting to just nail it - I'm sure I have before when I was at the front with Tiny trying to keep the speed down to 40mph - but we must resist so everyone gets a view of shed loads of phat scoobs

I am up for it, I will put my name on the list, can’t wait.
Yep it would be real handy to keep together, don’t mind sprinting up when I get behind, but it’s a bit daft getting to the front of a race and being on yer own, I would imagine the point is to make a mass spectacle of Scooby’s so the walls of the tunnels rattle.
Any thoughts of setting up nominated PACE cars within the cruse so that we don’t split up and can re-group at nominated stages.

Just been looking at the map, and your directions. have I got this right??
In essence it looks like
Dartford tunnel down and back up,
Rotherhithe tunnel down and back up
Back to the Blackwall tunnel down and along A2, south of the Thames, to M25.
and back through the Dartford tunnel again
Anybody able to do a picture (map) of the route in detail, then I can set my Sat Nav up.
I see there are two Blackwall tunnels which ones do we use?
I’m just a country boy and the Smoke is all new to me

Went on the blane run so not going to miss this one.
I have just read through this thread and came across the bit about the limehouse cameras.I came through there friday early hours and was doing at least 60mph poss more in between the cameras.I thought i would give one of my engineers a call as he uses it every morning after a night shift,he has been going through at 50 to 60mph between cameras and has not been done as yet.
Fingers crossed i guess.
Has anyone on here actually been done for this?

Just a reminder
Final route for the 29th February.
It will then be decided who wants to continue for a run to Ace Café.
Remember the toll charge is £1 each way so make sure you have 3 x £1 coins to keep the flow fast through the tolls.
Caution....There are approximately 14 Speed cameras on this route with limits including 20mph, 30mph & 50mph!
Keep your eyes peeled!!!
Final route for the 29th February.
- Meet at Thurrock Services Main Car Park @ 1030 (Junction 30 - M25).
- Leave services @ 1100 and join M25 towards Dartford Crossing.
- Through tolls and continue M25 to junction *1b* Princes Road Interchange.
- Leave via slip road, circumnavigate roundabout and re-join M25(A282) back towards crossing.
- Through tolls again and through Dartford tunnel.
- Exit M25(A282) at junction *30* (2nd exit after tunnel) and join A13 – London bound.
- Continue A13 – The leaders will need to keep the pace down a bit here to allow everyone to catch-up due to traffic lights at M25/A13 junction.
- Watch out for 30mph speed cameras around Beckton.
- Stay in right-hand lane on Canning town flyover.
- Enter new tunnel towards Isle-of-Dogs.
- Continue over flyover and into Limehouse link (Watch out for 30mph cameras x 3 in tunnel).
- Stay in right-hand lane towards end of tunnel.
- Turn right at traffic lights.
- Continue under bridge and turn right at next lights.
- Stay in right-hand lane to next lights, turn right and continue through Rotherhithe tunnel. (Watch out for 20mph camera at entrance to tunnel).
- Circumnavigate roundabout at the end of tunnel and straight back through Rotherhithe tunnel. (Watch out for 20mph camera at entrance to tunnel again).
- On exit of Rotherhithe tunnel, take first left (before lights).
- Follow to end (under bridge), turn left and left again at lights and back through Limehouse link. (Watch out for 30mph cameras x 3 in tunnel again).
Due to the traffic lights around this area, the group might get split up a bit, so it may be an idea to re-group somewhere convenient before continuing so look out for the leaders stopping. - Continue over flyover (exit at this flyover if McDonalds stop is required), stay in left hand lane to roundabout (NOT through tunnel!!!), take 2nd exit on roundabout towards A13.
- Turn left at lights and re-join A13 London bound, stay in left-hand lane and filter off to the left and through Blackwall tunnel.
- Continue A2, onto M25 and the 2nd blast through Dartford Tunnel.
- Exit at junction 31 (first exit after tunnel) and re-group in Thurrock Services.
