our local MD.s got banned from giving them free food after someone complained!!!
No wonder - if someone gave me a free McDonalds, I'd complain as well

UB.It was an observation. It was not in any way an indication of how I would behave.

You can however read into it whatever you want and as usual you have managed to take a negative route.

You really are a very sad man UB. Read posts and then THINK before spining everything round to your twisted and sad perspective.

Jason.

BS - to be fair, I read your comment the same way as UB. Sorry for misunderstanding you.

I agree with you that the shop assistant stands the chance of being harrassed. From your last comment, you appear to be saying that you would disapprove of this behaviour from the police. Fair enough - we need more "good eggs" in the police force. But this means that you are joining an organisation that has a culture that you think is wrong..... not an easy position for you to be in. At which point in your career do you intend to make it clear that you're not going to be "part of the gang"?

Some bloke who just happened to be a policeman wanted a sausage roll because he was hungry. Some jobsworth who is so bored with there job in the coop, knew by memory an obscure section of the act and enforced it :round of applause from the deli counter:
Oooh the power of it all. I wonder if they had a quick ham shank afterwards?

Wink

Some bloke, who just happened to not be a policeman (okay, it was me), was driving along because he wanted to get somewhere else. Some jobsworth who was "just following orders" knew by memory an obscure section of the road where the speed limit is 30, even though it's 40 just round the corner, and enforced it. Round of applause from his boss, 3 points etc for me.
Oooh the power of it all. I wonder if they had a quick ham shank afterwards?

So badger seems to be implying that the majority of police are vindictive and petty- although he makes it clear he won't be.

I've worked closely with the police in my career and for the most part I can well believe what badger says to be the truth. Many of the meathead officers I met weren't exactly the sharpest tools in the shed and had shall we say "interesting" views on race and the suitability of women for anything other than bedroom and domestic tasks. I suppose that a force of of epsilons is ideally suited to the task of being the cushion between decent society and the sort of scum that shot a downed man.
I'm not saying all officers are like this, just it seems the majority.
Personally if I owned a business and didn't want to provide a service to anyone, whoever it was, I'd tell them to get out.

All protein and no fats. That means no sausage rolls or anything with a high fat/carb content.
Atkins diet is a high protein/fat and low carb.

tsk tsk.. BS. The mask is slipping now, isn't it? Resorting to a tirade of personal abuse for me making what I felt was a legitimate point. What ever happened to the 'happy go lucky' BS we used to know?
