I must admit, I usually don't go for the run out, as the image worries me too - it can be too easy to collect a crowd or get carried away -

SO - either we can meet and take a 'slower' group, or

- we can all 'convoy' with style, rather than speed.

I must stress that ALL the meetings that I have attended have been very well turned out, and have never given any indication of 'boy-racer' image.

If anyone is after a race, take it to the track, 'cos we're not interested !

After that 'rant' and some clarification, for the new-commers, the meetings are about seeing other people subarus, sharing some chat and a drink. Its also a good time to ask any questions and generally use the 'collective' knowledge.

We don't bite, don't judge (Except see above) and no-one will complain if you only stay 10 mins or 2 hours.

Gave up my boy racer image 15 years ago LOL.

Nope seriously I convoyed at the front of 15 cars to the "big one" in notts and my group drove on or below the speed limit. If they wanted to go faster then it was a dual carriageway and they could have come past. NONE did, as I knew the way.

Yeah, will agree to that one guys. Everyone knows the Scooby is quick, so we don't have anything to prove.

This will be like flat cap Sunday, a gentle drive through the rolling countryside, taking in the flowers blowing in the light breeze that rustles through the trees. The smell of the country, breezing through the vents, the fresh clean air that clears the nostrils.....oh no thats cow sh*t! And it's all up the side of the car. bloody things, keep em in the fields will you. Don't see road tax stuck on the side of a cow do you! Get it off the road then!

Get the jist of this then? Any questions? Great, lets continue out tootle through the rolling countryside.

Hi.

Please mail me the details when you have sorted them Nev. I should be able to make it. I'll come in my own car and be the black sheep of the day.

Cheers.

Daz, take a look at my site for pics of the car, with those turbo wheels on.

They're not special, like a 17 or 18 inch, but the tyres are almost new and you can have them for 100 notes (ish). If you're after 17+, take a look in scooby shop or for sale section. I'm afraid I've no spoilers, only other stock items that I've removed - headlamps, rear lights, fogs.

Cheers,

Mark

They're pretty good - They've been on the car since day1, so you've seen 'em before - I can do a viewing if anyone is interested, or I can maybe bring them along

The front tyres have been on a month and the rears about 3 months.

Also, it should be noted that one of the rears has had a plug style repair, in the centre of the tread, but I've had no issue with it and its all legit- National Tyre place did it.

I've just had my new alloys on, so these are going, going -------

I'm open to offers too ! (NOT that sort of offer )

Hi Steve,

Sorry to read to Impreza has gone - I have sold my Evo and got a 1989 911 Carrera Super Sport, insurance is over 50% less!

I just got bored of the Impreza/Evo thing and fancied a change.

Hi Paul,

Yes I will be hill climbing in the 911 - a bit different to drive than the Evo

I think the Practice Weekend is the last one in March - checkout hdlcc.com for the dates for 2004.

Let me know what is arranged for your birthday and I would like to come along.

I don't believe this. Is this a joke or what?

Shrop without a Scoob is like taking sweets off a child. Shrop if you've still got her, then your banned from the meet for lying!

Only joking, will be good to see you and the white monster again mate. All things happen for a reason. It was meant to be mate.
