I have an aluminium gear **** that I designed, which is machined from billet aluminium with the type R logo machined into the top. I have attached some pictures below, but its difficult to get a good picture of it as its so shiney!

If there is sufficient interest I can get a batch made up by a company who makes these type of things for the TVR cars. It would therefore look better than mine!

The gear ***** would also be beadblasted and anodised (mine is just polished, but this is not as good a finish). As well as the ****, there is a spacer below so that you can set the **** at the right angle, ie get the logo pointing the right way. This spacer locks the **** in position so that it does not rotate. Also the spacer has the same profile as the original so that the leather gear gaitor attaches to it (v5 car).

The price will depend on how many people would want one, but I guess it would be about £40 if there are about 30 or so people willing to buy one.

I know this fits the v5 (ie this is my car). I think my latest hawkeye also has the same thread on the gear lever, so I would think the earlier cars are also probably the same, but I suppose i would need to try it on other versions to make sure it also fits!

If there is interest I could transfer it over to the group buy. Also I will confirm prices dependant on the number of interested people, before any money changes hands. It would take about 6 weeks or so to manufacture them, well that is their normal leadtime, but it could be sooner if they as not too busy.

Cheers mate,
It was made up quite quickly by a friend at work, we make medical implants so as you can expect its good quality. If there is enough interest, I can get prices from a local machining company (unfortunately I cannot get people at work to make bulk orders of subaru parts!).

This company is the one we use to make some of our implants and also our surgical instruments, so their quality is top rate. They also use to make aftermarket parts for the TVR, handbrakes and gear levers etc for a company in the south of England (before they started making them themselves). They do a very good job, but worth it.

I have also used them to make parts for the TVR I used to own. I have previously designed a few things for TVRs and sold a few of them on pistonheads website. I had a few left over in a batch after making the parts for my car and a few of the local TVR owners around where I live.

Cheers
Dave

Thats a cracker looking car mate...just the way I like them, clean & nice and subtle-not OTT.

Only thing I'd change would be about four layers of good wax to bring out that shine...car deserves it!!

What wheels are those & are they 18"s?

Yeh, they are Rota GRA wheels in 18". I know, I keep meaning to give it a good clean but I am lazy... Funny about the subtle, I like it but the plans are not so...

Here's mine. It should be back on the road soon after a new engine then I'll take some decent pics. It used to belong to Leviathan and is in its former glory on page 7 of this thread.

Don't suppose anyone knows Leviathan do they?
