I've just had an Exedy clutch and lightened flywheel off David, got to say Im very very impressed, as David says, the clutch action is def lighter and there is no judder whatsoever.

I've done 4 "proper" launches, with no problems at all. No slip, no nasty smell.
Perfect!

Mines about 325 - 340 (depending on fueling/ign advance).

(Note to self: Must get my old flywheel back to David!)

how much for an exedy twin clutch and flywheel?

Sorry to butt in all but couldn't think of a better place to ask the question:

I have just brought a hybrid type R gearbox V5, which will be going into my UK classic. Can anyone tell me what the theoretical top speed is on a type R.
Also what sort of revs are you at, at say 80mph?.

Speeds throught the gears would be even better, but thats asking allot.

How much would you expect to pay for Type R these days? Quite fancy a V5 but wondering how much extra I'd need on top of my existing MY00 UK.

And what differences are there between the 2 (other than engine). I'm thinking of swapping as I'm in the mood for doing some engine mods but feel there's not much point going for big power when I'm handicapped by the UK engine. oh, and I like 2 doors also

I suppose if you are lucky you might get a V5 for £11k, for one with reasonable miles <50k, good/mint condition, sensible mods etc etc I suppose Anything upto £13k?
