I have noticed the differance with all the performance mods. The engine and turbo being about the best.
I do not drive like a nutter all the time so really enjoy the gearbox. I can now cruise at high motorway speeds at low rev's. With the Type R box the thing was screeming all the time.. Perhaps thats why the 2.0 old engine let go.

well, its taken me 2 days (on and off of course) to get through all the posts of this thread. All i've got to say is WOW
You guys have some seriously awesome looking Impreza type-R's and whats more is i thought my V5 was quick as standard spec but those of you with modded ones - well i can only dream of how quick they are.
Keep up the good work - and more pics please ( says he with square eyes now thanks to Scoobynet )

Yep, bent as a 3 quid note. Rear quarter panel smashed by a rock just below the wrx sticker and sill badly bent aswell when going over it. Front crossmembers both bent and radiator now holding the bonnet open. Bodykit wise, needs new front bumper, splitter, r/h sideskirt and some cosmetic scratches to the rear bumper. Engine wise, rad. is now hard against the cam covers and steering pump/altenator belts with a leak somewhere (burst rad. or just pipes). Underbody looks ok. No visual damage to diffs/box/sump/exhaust/sus. components. Should be able to be repaired as long as there is no chassis twist. (none apparent, panel gaps still normal).

Anyway, its open season on deer up my neck of the woods now so get yer 12bores out.......

Just aswell my hks fmic and headers aint been fitted yet!lol.

Forgot to mention i had some hillbilly stop with a bob marley in his mouth and asked if i smoked weed......should have pointed out to him that dolly the sheep was in the next field and would have entertained him better than my misfortune...did you know a sheep tied to a lamp post in aberdeen is called a leisure centre?

Does anyone know if there is a difference in Goodridge s-steel hoses for a type-R compaired to Impreza's with ABS?
If so who supplies them? or part number?

Elephant.co.uk (part of Admiral Group) and A-Plan were the cheapest i found. Think there's a few threads on this 5-6 pages back.

Go for A-plan they are very flexible on mods.
