Is xbox likely to come down in price in the very near future?

goto a shop where u can see the xbox in there box's and look at the date through the gap in the back of the box. cant remember which date constitutes which drive tho. think mines oct 2002 tho if that helps and mine has a samsung drive

What else do you need to play on line via x-link or any alternative to xbox live? Do you guys play via link or live? Basically I will want to play on line but not have to pay for it! (I already have the adsl router plugged in on my network so xbox will just plug straight into my hub with everything else)

if you want to use live you will have to pay for it. or you can use the other one u said or xbconnect, these will only play games that are system link compatable, dont confuse system link with live compatibale, these programs basically trick ya xbox into thinkin there connected directly to another xbox
