Someone Got Road Rage With Me Tonight...
#32
And I am more danger to other road users concentrating on stubbing it out I'd have thought
Hmmm.....so how much of a danger are you when getting the *** out & lighting it?
If it's so dangerous to stub it out, I'd be questioning if you should be smoking in your car at all. Your defence seems to be that to drive safely, you require to throw your cigarette out of the window as well as checking ALL mirrors to see who is around.....and that is not detrimental to your concentration on what you should be doing which is concentrating on the road ahead.
Shame on you selfish one.

jasey - I completley wish I hadn't started this thread
I post about how someone gets road rage over what i consider a very trivial thing - I get flamed down by people telling me I'm going to die of cancer (I know that ) and being a selfish t w a t
I sometimes think that the majority of people on this board are like the bloke in the car behind me i.e, get a fookin grip on life and stop taking it so seriously

T333 - but it does go to show how much litter is under-estimated as a social menace for some people, leaving aside the specific dangers of an incandescant object.
I realise this might be a surprising state of affairs, but people rarely have an opportunity to protest against litter, as many people dismiss it as trivial, as you yourself might have done here. To many, it isn't.
Edited cos K cider ***** my typing/spelling abilities!!

I've yet to see a valid defence of your actions though.
I'm hoping you can perhaps see the error of your ways and just perhaps see why that chap got angry (still does not justify his road-rage).
Remember, a cig butt is NOT just paper, but contains plastic and nasty chemicals.

One final thought while on my high horse
Why do people not drop cig butts on their lounge floor or workplace floor if it is acceptable to flick them out of cars etc, ie, in public?
Think about your reasons for not doing it in work/home and apply that logic to the outside world.

thats nothing I suffered PATH rage today, because I parked my car half on the pavement and half off due to the width of the road LOL!!
Some posh bird had a right go, said she'd called the police and it was illegal to park on the path is it?

you're a ****
That's better....
UB
BTW I think people who park across pavements are very inconsiderate. Just think, that if kids, or someone pushing an infant come along, they are *forced* to walk into the road to get past the offending vehicle. Tow 'em away I say.

I take great exception to people lobbing rubbish out of the window, but I must confess, for some reason I've never really included cigarette ends with that. I suppose, being glass fibre or whatever they use, they don't degrade and should be considered rubbish.
HOWEVER...the road rage reaction was totally over the top though, and I think imlach and the "born again cyclist" brigade should acknowledge that as quickly as they castigated terzo for disgarding the *** butt in the first place.
