STi, well known for picking the **** and putting it on the car, not. LOL
There are so many uprated parts on my STi compared to an UK spec Turbo, i wont bore you with listing them, dont want to embarass you too much pete.
Pete is on a wind up, pure and simple. He is also full of ****, but he cant help that bit.

I think "pslewis" is great at getting reactions here. Surely you lot can see he's on a winde up? Handbags at the ready girls
As I said before this thread is great. Turbo teeth you puff aren't you driving a ford focus now, as the insurance on the WRX is far too much to pay ??? Lol, I rest my case

I don't remember 'having' you at all Diablo
You must have been dreaming that I was near your rear while polishing your MariGolds?
Dreaming about me now eh?
Pete
Edited to say that NOW you have edited your post (Diablo) - mine doesn't make sense, so, for those who missed it - what Diablo REALLY said was, 'Pete I have been thinking of you consantly and would like us to get together and do something like we did before'

ROFLMFAO @ the senile old man contradicting himself AVE IT!!
ok lets pretend that there are diffrent lines, but look how you prove your point
but now your proveing the fact that theres diffrent lines by saying there all on the same line
.:LMFAO:.
you know you just ****ed up... yeah? ....
PMSL
Of course there are different lines for different markets!
Lets take an example shall we? I worked for Black and Decker on the production line - a real cushy job after working in the mines from the age of 13!
Anyway, we made drills and lawnmowers and other stuff with the B&D logo on ............... BUT, then we got a production run of 'other' machines to assemble with a different 'logo' on.
The same items made on the same production line

Just read the whole lot and its fun.
end of the day, each to there own!!!
However, i think EVO magazine sorted this problem out a little while ago, they done an ultimate 4WD shootout. They had the following. (not got the mag here, so its from memory)
S3
Audi quattro
Escort Cossie
Delta Intergrale
R34 Skyline GTR & GTR Vspec
Evo 6 & RS
Scooby UK Turbo & Sti Type R & 22B & RB5
911
Think thats it,
Winner on the Track = Evo 6 RS
Winner on UK roads = RB5
They said that the RB5 was perfect for the roads here, thats why it is the best for UK road. The import STI Type R and 22B were too hard for the roads, but they were a bit quicker on the track.
Personally, I dont care, they are all quick enough and all handle well, I certainly wouldnt be able to push one as quick as the EVO guys, and they all can waste soo many other cars aswell
At the end of the day, they are all scoobys, so you should all stick together and have arguments like Scooby vs EVO, that would make more sense dont you think??

Are EVO owners lucky enough to have a pslewis in their midst??
NOOOO - look on the bright side, the EVO boys are cocooned in their sad little world, like you would be if I wasn't here to shine the light beam of normality in your eyes now and again!
Long live the PROPER Impreza, Long live the BEST of the PROPER Impreza, long live the king of style and substance, long live the UK Impreza MY00 in DBM with SILVER wheels!!
Pete

Lol, what's this about an RB5 having an import shell. FFS, surely all the Subarus have imported shells ?? RB5 shell is the same as a UK cars shell. Infact I reckon all the shells might be exactly the same ??

Subaru sold 278,539 vehicles in japan in 2002, They exported 173,078 vehicles to the rest of the world excluding the USA, They sold an aditional 185,944 vehicles in the USA, 103,010 of which were manufactured in the USA.
So Subaru are not a solely Japanese manufacturer, they made 103,010 legacies in the USA last year.
All Impreza's are manufactured in Japan. There are diferences in the shell design between models, the Spec C has lighter panels than the Non Spec C Impreza, as does the Type RA. This isnt just the boot/bonnet, the roof is thinner on a Spec C for example, the glass is also thinner on the TypeRA. The RB5 shares the same rear bulkhead treatment as an STi 4 door shell, it is stiffer, the normal UK turbo is less rigid. Japanese spec cars are not undersealed, the first job you do with a Japanese spec car on import is to treat them with underseal to protect them from salt damage in winter.
